"Sign the divorce papers." Hyunsuk uttered and passed him a pen and an envelope containing papers that Jihoon was so afraid of.

"Hyunsuk, wait, we can still work this out, please." he begged but to his dismay Hyunsuk was already certain to break off this wedded relationship of theirs that turned from days full of butterflies to scenes filled with wilt roses and grey skies.

"We both know that our relationship is falling apart. It's for the better." he said before walking away leaving Jihoon behind with tears falling down from his cheeks.

Hyunsuk hid in his room, the situation was slowly sinking in him. The love they had for each other was not enough to sustain their marriage. The two are hurting from their own decisions but they know it's for the better.

"Hyunsuk?" Jihoon came knocking in with a tray full of breakfast. It was the next day and Jihoon decided why not make the best of it while it lasts?

Hyunsuk groggily sat up and was welcomed with the fresh scent of bacon and eggs. A signature breakfast for the two when they were still, well, deeply inlove.

"What is this?" Hyunsuk rubs his eyes and yawns. He was confused with the whole breakfast in bed Jihoon prepared for him.

"Nothing, just you know... enjoying our last day together?" Jihoon purses his lips and clasps his hands behind him waiting for Hyunsuk to eat the food he cooked for him.

"You know you don't have to do this, right?" Hyunsuk interrogates him and Jihoon just enthusiastically replied with a nod. Weird.

How come he looks fine after signing those papers? Does he really not love me as much as before? Hyunsuk quickly shrugged his thoughts away after seeing Jihoon waiting for him to eat.

"Let's go grocery shopping after you eat. Dress up well" Jihoon surprised him with an agenda and left the room before Hyunsuk could even say anything else.

"What in the world does he think he's doing?" Hyunsuk said before taking a sip of milk.

"Where's the mint chocolate ice cream? Why is everything out of stock?!" Jihoon exclaimed upon arriving at the ice cream section.

"I thought people hated mint chocolate ice cream?" Jihoon complained again that irritated Hyunsuk.

They're now at a grocery store shopping for goods. He doesn't even understand why the two are even grocery shopping when today is their last day as a couple?
"Let's go, Jihoon. Let's just find another place that sells ice cream." Hyunsuk tried pushing the cart full of groceries but Jihoon was quick to halt him in his steps, seeing Hyunsuk's annoyed face Jihoon quickly changed his expression to a softer one.

"I'm sure they have some stored somewhere, it's the middle of the day I know they have stocks. Just wait here for me..." Jihoon said before approaching a staff asking for the whereabouts of mint chocolate ice creams.

"Where are you taking me now?!" Hyunsuk complained after noticing they aren't heading home yet.

"Home... Jihoon's home I meant." Hyunsuk thought

"Let's go ride a hot air balloon!" Jihoon exclaimed in excitement before looking at his reaction then quickly diverted his attention back to the road when he saw Hyunsuk giving him judging stares.

"You've always wanted to go ride one but you never had the chance to so I'll be taking you there." Jihoon gulped and shifted in his seat uneased by the awkwardness.

"Okay" Hyunsuk agreed not having the energy to talk back and already wanting the day to be over.

Not gonna lie, he has always wanted to go on a hot air balloon. It has always been on his bucket list but he never had the chance to check it off due to his busy schedule.

He's excited but a part of him wants to run away. He never dreamed of riding a hot air balloon with someone he doesn't want to meet anymore.

He looked beside him and saw Jihoon closing his eyes while holding on to the railings like his life depended on it as the hot air balloon started to rise.

"Right. You're scared of heights." Hyunsuk said to himself and sighed deeply before grabbing Jihoon's hand and intertwining it with his.

Jihoon who was surprised opened his eyes only to see Hyunsuk looking far ahead. He tried to hide his smile but failed. His anxiousness suddenly went away with his touch, something Hyunsuk could only do.

"We're staying here until sunset so you can enjoy the view." the operator said making Hyunsuk smile.

He loves watching sunsets. It's his and Jihoon's little thing to do every now and then. They always try to go on little dates like these whenever they have free time and it's always what makes Hyunsuk feel less suffocated with work.

And with Jihoon crossing his mind he remembers their fingers tangled with each other and tried to break away from his hold.

"Let's stay like this until we go back down," Jihoon sighed and bitterly smiled before continuing,

"it might be the last time I get to hold your hand."

Hyunsuk just stared at him, with no emotions. He felt empty hearing those words like how the colorful sunset was slowly turning to dark.

His heart felt a sting. His memories about their happier days together were crashing back and it just made him want to cry thinking everything will end after he lets go of his hand.

"Why am I hesitating now? I thought you wanted this, Hyunsuk." he thought as he fought the urge to cry and let Jihoon see his vulnerable state once again.

"Hyunsuk?" He looked beside him and saw Jihoon with the same smile that made him fall deeper.

"Let go now, please." those words made his tears fall. He couldn't control it anymore, he's not ready to let go.

But he has to.

"I'm sorry" Hyunsuk uttered

Jihoon just smiled at him wiping his tears away with his thumb.

"I used to always wipe your tears away when you were stressed." Jihoon reminisces while holding his face so gentle like it's made of glass.

"I hope the person who'll wipe your tears next will make you the happiest." He looked away from him feeling his own tears falling.

"Is it bad if I wish that person will still be you?" Hyunsuk held his hand that was cupping his face.

"What?" Jihoon looked at him with wide eyes.

"Let's love again, Ji." Hyunsuk pulled his hands down that were on his cheeks and held it firmly.

"I don't see myself with anyone else but you." Hyunsuk smiled at him looking straight in his eyes making sure Jihoon knows he's serious.

"Let's love right this time because I'll never let go of you." Hyunsuk intertwined their hands and planted a soft kiss on his forehead.
