TIME SKIP: ONE MONTH
PHOENIX'S POV
Oh my Chuck, I can't believe it's here. The big day. The wedding of my OTP. And I'M a bridesmaid. Someone freaking pinch me. (author pinches) Yeow! I didn't mean that hard.
I had the dream again a few days ago. I was scared, but I would NOT let anything affect today. I used my saved up allowance to buy myself a dress, shoes, and accessories, plus a wedding present for Clocky. God, I hope she likes it. We were having the wedding a little ways into the woods, and the reception in...can you believe Slender has a banquet hall/ballroom?? It's huge! Everyone was busy with last minute preparations and decorations. I'm pretty sure I saw Masky and Hoodie disappear towards the banquet room with a huge wedding cake.
I'm currently in my room getting ready. I bought a purple, one shoulder gown with silver details at the waist, silver heels, and a sterling silver necklace with an amethyst pendant. Slender's brother Trender was kind enough to style my long hair into a milkmaid braid. I felt beautiful...and I don't say that often. But I wasn't the focus...I couldn't wait to see how Clocky looked. Oh! That reminds me. I promised Clocky I'd do her hair.. I gotta go see if she's ready yet.
CLOCKWORK'S POV
Oh God, am I nervous. I'm currently in my master bathroom looking in the mirror, trying not to hyperventilate. Oh who am I kidding; everyone's nervous around here today. Slender even seems to know i'm on my last nerve and is being even nicer than usual. He's officiating, and he decided to mark the occasion by wearing coattails and a blue silk tie. I did my makeup, now I'm just waiting for Phoenix to come in to do my hair and help me with my dress. A few minutes later, she did come in, looking fabulous in a purple gown and elegant updo.
"Hi Phoenix, thanks for helping me...wow. You look gorgeous!" I said, getting up and hugging her.
"Thanks so much Clocky!" she said. "I can't wait to see your dress, I'm so excited. Now, is there any particular style you're fond of?"
"Curls! Like light curls. I don't want anyone to see my clock eye either...." I was suddenly nervous. Phoenix nodded, turned my chair around, and got to work. I was quiet, and she noticed i was shaking.
"What's wrong, Clock?" she said gently.
"I don't know, wedding jitters I guess...plus...I'm just not used to all those people staring at me. What if I forget what I'm supposed to say? What if I sweat, or blubber, or start crying? I've never been married before! What if....."
"Clocky..." Phoenix interrupted. "Of course you're going to get nervous...and you might cry. Everyone cries at weddings. As for everyone staring at you...you don't even have to look at them. Just focus on Toby. Just remember that it's about you and Toby today. If you feel nervous, just stare at him, focus on him and what Slender is saying and block everyone else out. Don't worry so much. You'll do fine." I nodded, and focused on my breathing.
After a half hour of spraying and curl-ironing, Phoenix turned me around...and I gasped. I couldn't believe that was me in the mirror. As I had requested, Phoenix gave me bouncy curls, in a half up, half down hairstyle, with white flower accents, and a tiara. And as I requested, curls covered my clock eye.
"I love it!" I said, starting to tear up as I gave Phoenix a tight hug. "How did you learn to do hair?"
She laughed. "I used to practise on my mom all the time. She said I was a natural. When I was 14 I took a six week course in hairstyling...taught by my neighbor. I picked up the basics pretty quick."
A little while later, I was ready. My legs were shaking and my face was pale, but I was ready. Phoenix was careful not to look at my dress...a not-so-easy feat since she helped me into it...she wanted to get the full affect when I walked down the isle. Jeff came in, his gaze settling first on Phoenix, then me. Then Slender poked his head in.
Miss Phoenix, please take your place, It is nearly time. I'm sure you do not wish to get run over by the bride. He let out a good natured chuckle, and everyone laughed.
"I guess that's my cue...oh! I forgot. I have a wedding present for you." She came over and fastened a delicate gold chain with a heart locket around my neck. A fragile silver vine entwined around the front of the locket, with an inscription that read Time Flies, which made me laugh. When I opened it and saw that it held a photo of me, Toby, Phoenix, and Jeff that was taken a few weeks ago. I remembered that time was the first and only time Toby allowed his picture to be taken. I started crying again and hugged Phoenix again, this time openly weeping. "It's beaurtiful...I love it...thank you so so much," I blubbered.
"You are welcome, I'm glad you like it," said Phoenix, before giving a quick wave to Jeff and me and then hurrying out as fast as her heels would allow. I was nervous again. I turned to Jeff. He hugged me, and snuck a kiss on my cheek.
"You look amazing, Nat," he said. I smiled, forgiving his use of my despised first name. He offered me his arm, and I slipped my hand through the crook of his elbow. "Are you ready?"
I gathered myself, and took a deep breath before I nodded. I was ready.
(Hi guys! So I decided this is going to be a two parter. Both parts should be uploaded tonight. The media I've included is a picture of Phoenix's bridesmaid dress, and my favorite TicciWork tribute in honor of this very special occasion. I'll attach a picture of Clocky's dress with the next segment)
