JEFF'S POV
W-What's so funny now?
"What's funny," said Randy as he pulled out a lighter, "is that you're covered in bleach and alcohol.""HELP ME!!!!!"
Phoenix's desperate scream brought me to my senses. Until then I was experiencing a flashback, terrifying deja vu. I finally knew then that I had to take her away...I didn't want her to be like me. I cared about her too much. Extreme anger bubbled up inside me and I snapped, brandishing my knife and running as fast as I could to where she was, arriving just in time to see one of the girls ignite a lighter. As soon as she saw me she dropped it to the ground and it fizzled out. They stared at me for a second with absolute terror, then they bolted. "LET'S GO!" RUN!" IT'S HIM!" I made a wild slash with my knife and caught the one girl in the shoulder, leaving a deep gash. I wanted so bad to gut them like the animals they were.
"Jeff, help..." came weakly behind me. "Jeff..."
Phoenix was curled in the fetal position, her eyes as wide as they could get and staring straight ahead. She was soaked to the skin and shivering violently; I could tell she was in shock. I picked up her book and put it in my pocket, then knelt down beside her.
"Phoenix, I'm here," I said. I gently picked her up bridal style, and she weakly latched onto my hoodie. The smell of the vile mixture almost pulled me under, but I forced myself to concentrate. "You're gonna be okay, I'm gonna get you out of here. Just stay with me, okay?" She looked at me for a couple seconds, then put her head on my chest.
I didn't say another word as I ran off with her towards the mansion.
PHOENIX'S POV
I didn't know where Jeff was taking me, and I didn't care All I cared about was getting as far away from that place as possible. I kept on glancing at Jeff, waiting for him to say something, but he was silent the whole way.
It seemed to take forever, but Jeff obviously knew where he was going. He finally stopped in front of this gargantuan mansion. A huge humanoid figure, about 15 feet tall, was waiting at the front door. He was wearing a plain black suit, with black shoes, a black tie, and a white shirt underneath. Long tentacles were waving behind him, and he had a white head with no face. I flinched slightly as the Slender's deep voice vibrated in my head.
Jeffrey, would you like to explain to me where you...what the... His blank white head turned and stared in my direction. Why do you have a girl with you? And... He seemed to sniff. What happened to her? Why does she smell like that?
"I'll explain later," said Jeff hurriedly. "Can you help me get her inside please? I think she's in shock."
I knew Slender used telepathy to communicate, so I tried to send him mental images of what happened. He flinched and turned towards me again; I wondered if it worked.
Yes...yes, of course. Bring her in, Jeffrey. He walked behind Jeff into the mansion. When he passed me, I tried to speak.
"S-Slender..." I said. He turned to me in surprise, and I felt Jeff tense up.
Yes, child? he responded.
I couldn't remember anything after that.
