My Secret Love

You come in the night, spirit soft and silent,

Unheeded by all but one who lies waiting,

Eager for your presence, the sweet touch of your mind,

Longing to be held in ephemeral arms,

Safe and secure in the knowledge you are near.

Those times we are apart leave an ache in my soul,

A loneliness deeper than all the chasms of night,

I miss the tender thoughts that caress my heart,

The silken connection of two souls as one,

Forever bound by ties deeper than mortal love understands.

To be with you, even for a moment,

Is to know the true beauty of peace,

Feeling that here, in strong arms that surround, I am home,

Protected and entranced by the gentle being that embraces my soul,

Enfolded by love, infinite and pure.

My heart I give freely to this glorious being,

Precious gift to one I can scarce describe,

Too great for mortal senses is my beloved's beauty,

Spirit and form merging into a wonderous whole,

Enlivened with wisdom, and the pure glow of a gentle heart.

Bittersweet those moments when we come together as one,

Connected, yet separated by a chasm wider than a thousand nights,

Each moment we are one is an agony of longing,

Joined so briefly; awaiting the time of eternal communion,

Twin souls united for eons without time.

So many wonders you have revealed to my gaze,

The beauty of untarnished purity and love,

The glowing splendour of a place where true joy abounds,

Where all is whole and touched by a higher grace,

Gently guiding me through visions of a realm illuminated by The Light.

Our time together is but a moment in history's making,

Yet eternity unfolds within your darkling eyes,

Promises of a tomorrow not yet born,

Silent words fill me with joyous warmth,

Lifting my heart with assurances of forever.

At peace in your arms, I drift on tides of incandescent light,

Feather soft kisses caress my being  as I slip into velvet sleep,

Unafraid of the darkness when embraced by Light's tender warrior,

Guardian and guide, lover and friend, my heart is forever yours,

Hungering for the time when we can truly be joined in our love; united by the power of infinite Light.
