hello sister

Clary's pov:

As me and Alec approached the ops centre we could see almost everyone from every hallway was spilling into the room.
The red flashes around us all put us into our fighting mode
Me and Alec ran to the weapons centre where we grabbed our weapons. We hadn't had a wards breach in years. I'm just hoping it's not serious.
Then Izzy came rushing in.

"The breach in the wards is something powerful. We can't quite place our finger on what it is but be ready. Alec and Magnus you take the upper right wing. Clary and Jace you take the lower left wing. The rest of you spread out!" Izzy instructed as her bracelet uncoiled itself into a staff. I sometimes forgot that Izzy was the head of the institute.

Me and Jace looked at eachother and nodded before running to the lower left wing. the hallway was quiet besides the low sounding alarm and me and jaces footsteps.
It was our job to walk the hallways. Making sure nothing was in them.

"It's been awhile since the last wards breech huh." I said as I covered jaces back.

"Yeah. But when you were living your mundane life we had one. Just a forsaken but still it has been awhile." He said as he darted the next corner.
My heart skipped a couple beats. I hated myself for the mundane part of me. it made me feel weak. And I didn't know half the people in the institute anymore.
But then I was rudely awakened from my thoughts when my toe smashed into a raised board causing me to fall over.
I muttered in pain and looked up.
But to my surprise jace was gone. He would never intentionally leave me and he couldn't have gone far.
I got up from the floor where I had been holding my foot. the hallway was somehow creepier then before. I didn't have the reassurance of Jace anymore and the red lights in the darkish hallway wasn't a good look.
I slowly made my way down it. Checking every room. I then entered the next hallway witch seemed to be longer.
I was getting impatient. I had no idea where Jace went and the eerie feeling was growing in my chest.
I decided it was time to get out of there.
Closing the last door in the hallway I turned to make my way back to the ops centre.
but someone was at the end of the Hallway.
Probably Jace.

"Jace where the hell did you go. I stubbed my toe and you didn't wait." I said as I walked towards the person.

"I mean I prefer to go by Jonathan. Long time no see little sister." Jonathan said as he turned around to look at me.
I stopped in my tracks. I killed him. He can't be alive. my heart was pounding as I gripped my weapon tighter.

"Jonathan?" I asked my voice shaking.

"Calm down clary I'm not going to hurt you. your little rune took away my power. But not my will. Once I heard you were back in the shadow world I wanted to have a little.. talk." He said smiling.
Not the kind smile. The one that sends chillls down your spine.

"Your supposed to be dead." I said dryly as swallowed. my throat had gone dry

"I forgive you for killing me by the way. Turns out it was temporary, but the rune took my power. I'm hoping that's temporary too." He said. I noticed that he had gotten extremely close over the time we had been talking. I tried to step away but when he saw this he ran behind me. Grabbing my neck in a lose chokehold.

"can we talk like civil people dear clary. I can let go if you don't try to run away." He said smirking. God I hated him but I slowly nodded.
He let go as I looked down. I was bleeding.
I quickly lifted up my sweater exposing my stomach. It was just a cut, it wasn't that deep.
I put my sweater back down looking up at Jonathan. But his smirk just grew wider.
I was confused untill he started speaking

"a child. Your having a child." He said moving closer. I didn't dare move or speak to avoid being grabbed again. My baby bump was only small but visible.

"now this is interesting. I wonder how Jace feels about the child. Does he know?" Jonathan chuckled circling around me.
I just shook my head. Jace did know but Jonathan didn't need to know that.
Jonathan made his way back infront of me, he still looked baffled and turned his back for a minute.
I took the opportunity and ran. I could hear him behind me yelling my name but I didn't stop.
I could feel his breath on my neck as he pushed me forward, I twisted my body to the side so I wouldn't fall on my stomach.
I winced in pain as I hit the ground. The cold floor somehow felt like lava on my skin.
And my cuts were now stinging from being skidded on.
Jonathan grabbed me with force this time. Yanking me up from the ground.

"going somewhere so soon?" He smiled as he tightened his grip around my wrist. Before I could say anything back I felt a cloth go to my mouth.
The strong smell of the cloth hit my nose like a bag of bricks.
In no time I got dizzy and could feel the familiar feeling of unconscious wash over me.
I then slipped into darkness
