WARNINGS: involuntary drug use.

Warnings are not usually something I feel the need to mention, as I've mentioned a few in the summary. However, I believe this one is necessary to post for this chapter.

Kylo's POV

Drug overdose deaths have increased significantly in Australia within the last several years. So we made our way to Sydney, as it is the most populated city in Australia with the biggest drug problem. Not only did Australia have an opioid problem, but some dealers had started making synthetic opioids themselves. That's what we were here to take care of on this mission. Our client this time was relatively new, though we had completed one job for him recently that was successful. This client insisted that we were all needed to do this job, as there would be upwards of twenty men or more in the warehouse making these drugs. Not to mention, this client was willing to pay our extra fee for all of us to be here.

Our informant had told us exactly where to find the warehouse where the synthetic opioids were being made and packaged. When I asked him how he knew where the targets were exactly, he informed me that he had previously been a part of the manufacturing process for the drugs.

I felt more comfortable leaving Samara alone in the city this time around, since she had her own car and a safe place to stay. I knew Trudgen felt better about it too. She no longer needed to worry about her disturbing landlord or taking ride-shares with creepers anymore.

The hotel we were staying at was luxurious and solely used for tourists, not business. The Knights stayed in pairs, opting for two-bedroom suites, apart from myself. Normally, I'd be staying with Kuruk or Trudgen, but this time around I wanted my own space. The hotel was also purposefully an hour away from the warehouse we were ambushing.

Once inside the hotel, we all gathered in my suite to discuss everyone's roll on this mission and how we were going to file in to take out the multiple targets that would be inside. Everything would have to go smoothly if there were twenty men or more in the warehouse. Things could go wrong quickly if one of my Knights didn't take direction well enough or didn't listen to each other.

Kuruk pulled up a map of the location on his laptop, and we noticed there were several buildings around this warehouse. They should all be abandoned according to the informant, however Cardo and Kuruk would be positioned outside of the main warehouse that the other five of us would be storming into. Cardo and Kuruk would take out anyone that dared to walk inside after we entered.

We waited until the evening darkened above before heading out. It was specifically a Friday night, so it wouldn't look suspicious with the seven of us leaving the hotel as late as we were. In the parking lot, our two SUVs waited for us, including all of our armor and weapons.

Ushar finally had his signature weapon of choice with him, as Cardo had recently finished it. Honestly, I know he would've been done with it sooner had Ushar decided on what type of weapon he wanted in the first place. Cardo had to show him countless different weapons before he finally settled on a war club with a heavy blunt pommel at the end. Aside from his war club, he also decided to carry a machete with him that rested flat against his torso.

While in the vehicles, we suited up into our armor. Kuruk and Cardo shared one vehicle, while the rest of us piled in the other, and we discussed the plan one more time. With our snipers on the rooftops, the other five of us would enter through doors on either side of the main warehouse and meet in the middle. Simply put, we'd communicate through our helmets and take out anyone inside.

We parked our vehicles about 300 meters from the site. Cardo and Kuruk positioned themselves atop two separate nearby buildings where they could each observe the rooftop, a variety of windows, and the two main doors that the rest of us would enter through.
