Jessie's POV

I itched, burned, stinged and ached on my whole body. There's nothing that I hate more than Steven, my adopted father. I'm cooped up in a closet all day because of him, chained to the wall until he decides when I can be let go. So far, I haven't. I've been secured to this closet ever since I was adopted at twelve, I'm eighteen now. I've been abused ever since in anyway, just name it. You're probably thinking if I'm chained to a wall, how do I bathe or change clothes? Well, that's Steven's job. I hate him, he makes me wish I was never born. Why was I even born if my birth parents didn't even want me? What was the point of Steven adopting me if all I get is beaten? I've lived my teenage years in a closet. Yup, here I was. Lying on this hard wood floor, my ankles buckled into a long chain attached to the back wall.

I blew my hair out my face, staring at the unmade bed that Steven had left. I was hungry, starving actually. My legs could barely move without aching. My body was laid out on the floor of the closet. I was so cold. The stench of the room was terrible, Steven hadn't washed me in two weeks. I was terrified that today would be the day he did. He always touched me inappropriately and I'd cry, I'm surprised I haven't died of dehydration. I licked my lips at the smell of food: eggs and chicken. There was rice, too. It took all my body strength just to be able to stand on my knees.

"Jess!" My heart stopped as Steven's voice boomed, his footsteps heard clearly as he stomped into the room. I stumbled backwards on purpose, hitting the back wall. I didn't want him anywhere near me. Steven just smirked at me, tossing a plate at me. The food that was on top of it was now on the floor, contaminated by bacteria now. But I didn't care, I gobbled it down. I ate it as if I were attacking prey. I tore at the chicken and shoved large pieces into my mouth. "Peasant.." I heard Steven snarl as he threw himself onto his bed. My fingers picked at the grains of rice on the floor, swallowing them piece by piece. The eggs were just as delicious, I didn't care how they tasted though. All I wanted was food. Sometimes, I thought it was better than air. But when Steven could be choking me, that was my main priority.

My eyes scanned the room for any sign of more food, he only gave me a small amount. I spotted another piece of chicken. Scrambling to get it, my body fell backward. The chain was restricting me from reaching the last piece of food I desired so badly right now. Whimpers escaped my lips as I tried desperately to reach it. My arm extended farther but the strain of my wounded arm was causing massive pain. A scream escaped my lips and I crawled away when Steven burst from above me. I balled up into the corner of the closet as he stalked in, kneeling in front of me.

"You've been a very good girl lately. I was even thinking of letting you play outside with the dogs." He whispered, playing with the hem of my shirt. I didn't respond to him, I never talked. Once, I even convinced myself I couldn't. "Unless, you don't tell me you love me, then you'll just stay here for another few years just like your sister did. Too bad she passed away right?" He shrugged, pulling a strand of hair behind my ear. "Why won't you talk to me?" I stayed still, trying to avoid his uncomfortable stare. Steven suddenly stood up, walking in the direction of the stranded chicken. My attention suddenly went to his hand, getting on my knees. "Do you want it?" I nodded my head quickly, hyperventilating with excitement. "Take off your shorts." I frowned and fear grew inside me. I shook my head vigorously and crawled back into the closet until he stepped on the chain, preventing me from going any farther. "Do it." He spoke sternly, the tears once again fell as I slipped off my shorts. Steven threw the bone of chicken at me and I instantly caught it, devouring the meat. "Good girl." He praised, pulling off his jacket with a smirk on his face. This wasn't the first time he had raped me, this was probably going to be the twenty-sixth time.

Steven pulled out that familiar jar of pills he had from his pocket, pouring out two and holding them to my face. "Swallow it." This is how I never got pregnant. I denied the pills, continuing to eat up the chicken. His face wrinkled and he snatched the bone away from me, throwing it across the room. I squealed as his hand gripped my jaw and forced it open, dropping them in my mouth. "There you go, sweet pea." He smiled, grabbing the other three chains and locked my arms and other leg to the wall. I was sobbing loudly at this point as he grabbed some duct tape off the dresser and tore off a piece. "Stay still or this will hurt!" He growled as I turned away, but he was still able to place it over my mouth. I started to squirm as he unbuckled his belt, letting his pants drop to the floor. My eyes shut because I knew he never wore boxers, that was disgusting. "Shh, shh Jess." He hushed me, I felt my underwear being inched off. I clasped my legs together hoping to spare time, but that didn't help when his hand gripped my throat. "Say you love me." They were all the way off and my legs were being spread apart, I tried desperately to close them. My head was shaking no, but he was nodding yes. "Fine, have it your way." He spoke sternly before pinning me against the wall and sending me through a world of pain just through my lower abdomen.
