Jessie's POV
I smiled to myself as I placed his eggs a bacon on his tray, as well as some orange juice and toast. Zayn would wake up any minute and I need to finish this up. I licked the crumbs off my fingers and put the dirty dished in the sink, picking up the tray. Zayn's snoring filled the hallway as I crept into our room. His nostrils flared, my lips softly pressing against one. I placed the tray on the night stand, climbing onto his body.
"Zayn.." I smiled, pulling the covers from his face. His cheek twitched once I pressed my lips against it. He groaned as I continued to softly kiss his face. "C'mon, baby get up." Zayn turned his head slightly, smirking as I pecked his lips. "Good morning sleeping beauty."
"Good morning my princess."
"How come I didn't get my own princess?"
"Jess, YOU are your own princess."
"Oh." I chuckled, pecking his lips once more before crawling off his body. "It's your first day at university! Yay!"
"It sucks because I'll have to leave you alone." He groaned, sitting up as I placed his breakfast in his lap.
"I'll be fine as long as I have a bed and some food." Zayn smiled before taking a bite out of his toast. "Do you have all your stuff ready?"
"I packed it all yesterday." I nodded and sat in front of him on our bed.
"Pencils?"
"Of course."
"Binders?"
"Yeah."
"Are you going to bring a toothbrush?"
"Why would I need a toothbrush?" He chuckled.
"Um, to impress your proffesors with your teeth. Or if you bring a comb, your hair won't look so messy. Or if you bring a pillow to get comfortable-"
"Jess, I don't need those things." Zayn laughed. "I'll be fine, alright?" I nodded, waiting until he finished his breakfast. He took one last sip of his orange juice, keeping the tray in his grip. "I'll go wash it."
"Alright." Zayn stood up and walked out the room. I hugged my belly and looked to a crumpled up paper on the floor. An empty envelope laid beside it. Zayn never told me we'd been recieving mail already. It was crumpled so it was really tempting to open up and read. But that also meant he might have been mad about it if he treated the paper so cruel.
"One of my friends will be coming by later to borrow a couple of bucks. He's travelling the country and he needs gas money." Zayn walked back into the room, pulling on a shirt and pants.
"Okay." I sighed, hugging my belly. "Zayn, is there something you're not telling me?"
"Why would you think that?"
"You've just been really protective of me lately.."
"Babe, you're having my kid. I want you to be as safe and comfortable as possible."
"O-Oh, yeah! Sorry." I looked to my hands, playing with my fingers. Zayn sighed and sat in front of me.
"If anything happen to Pudding, I'd never forgive myself. I still can't forgive myself for losing the other one. And maybe if he made it, a small amount of guilt will lift off my shoulders."
"It wasn't your fault, you know that! Stop blaming yourself. It's going to eat you alive." I scolded him, holding his head in my hands. "There is nothing to be afraid of. I will be fine. I'm not in any pain right now, and you have no cut open flesh. It's been like that for a while and I know things are getting better."
