Zayn's POV

I happily got off my motorcycle, pulling the bouqet of roses out my jacket. I plucked the thorns out my shirt and quickly rushed into the hospital. Patty greeted me and signed me in as I made my way to Jessie's room. She's in the hospital for over a month now and she's been getting better. Walking into her room, I held the bouqet behind my back. Jessie was watching a cartoon but turned to me. The smile on her face was amazing.

"Zayn!"

"Hello to you, too." I smiled, nearing her. "You doing better?"

"My chest is still sore from surgery. But I'm fine."

"Well as a gift.." I pulled out the flowers. "I brought you flowers." She gasped as I sat beside her, placing them gently in her hands. "I didn't know which ones you'd want so I just bought one of everything."

"Thank you Zayn. That's really sweet." She blushed rubbing her stomach and frowning. She was so used to having the small bump there but she forgets it's not there. It's a depressing sight to see. "I can't believe Victoria is paying for the hospital bill."

"Yeah, she's being very generous. If I could, I would've paid myself." She giggled and turned her head.

"I just wish Harry would come visit me.. At least once." She sighed as I ran my hand over her face. "He hasn't come for 19 days. I counted..."

"He won't talk to me either. Our last game of the season is in two weeks. I guess he just needs to get his head back in the game."

"You do too. You're all in this team together. Zayn, you all are like brothers. So close that you can even be considered a family. Don't fight with him. It makes me upset just knowing that everyone's mad because of something that involves me." She fiddled with her fingers.

"It's not entirely your fault. Harry is just really protective over you. He doesn't want anyone else with you, as in a guy because he thinks they'll hurt you. But being Harry, he can't even trust his best friend. I gave him a reason not to though."

"Stop blaming yourself!!" Jessie shouted. "I'm sick and tired of you moping because you think this was your fault!! It wasn't!! I'm fine!!"

"Okay, I'm sorry.."

"It really upsets me when you think that way." She groaned as I slip my hand into hers.

"It's a habit." She shrugged and looked back up at the television. "I'd really like for you to be at our last game. I figured since you're getting better, you could come."

"I'd love to come."

"Great! I could pick you up."

"Victoria is usually my ride. And I think it's safer if I ride in a car than a motorcycle.." I chuckled.

"Yeah, you're right."

"I just wish-"

"Jessie?" A sudden voice made her gasp, smiling. I held tight to her hand as Harry walked in. Jessie quickly pulled her hand out of mine as Harry sat down. "Uh, hey."

"Hi Harry."

"H-How you been?"

"I've been fine. But why didn't you come all this time?"

"Football practice." I coughed under my breath and looked away. I had been missing practice to check on Jessie. "I'm really sorry I waited this long to visit. I guess Zayn had the same apology."

"He didn't." She crossed her arms. "There was no need to apologize. Zayn has been visiting me ever since I got here." Harry froze and his body tensed as he glared at me.
