Zayn's POV

"Well goodmorning family." I rubbed Jessie's belly and kissed her lips. "Ew, morning smell."

"You kissed me!"

"You still smell bad, and a little buttery."

"I watched movies with the girls yesterday. But you were out with your friends so I wouldn't know." I shrugged and slightly smiled.

"I left after the girls wanted to do body shots. And that wouldn't have been fun without you."

"It wouldn't be fun either way because I can't drink and neither can you guys! Zayn, were you drinking?"

"It wasn't even that much.."

"Zayn-"

"Babe, it didn't get out of hand this time. I kept my limit. I have no hangover and I got dressed on my own. I'm getting better at handling myself." She sighed and frowned at me.

"Stop drinking, please. It's not good for you." I nodded and kissed her nose, handing her breakfast.

"To enlighten the mood here, today's the day!" She sat up as she ate her eggs.

"What day?"

"Ultrasound day!"

"How could I have forgotten?! Oh, I'm so excited now!" I chuckled as she jumped around on the couch.

"I hope it's a boy, I really want a boy. I like girls too, it's just that they cry more."

"Zayn." She warned, flicking my ear.

"Ouch!"

"You know for a bad boy, you're not that rough and tough. You're sensitive and sweet."

"When have I EVER been sensitive?"

"When I'm around other guys, you immediately jump in."

"I'm only being a protective boyfriend."

"It's still sensitive and sweet."

"Alright, I may be sweet to you but that doesn't mean I can't be rough and tough. I always am." I smirked, pulling her onto my lap. "I just don't want to scare you."

"Zayn, I'm eating." She groaned, shrugging off my kisses to her neck.

"When you're done, we're leaving. Alright?" She nodded and continued to eat her food.

------------

"I'm so excited!" Jessie skipped through the hospital hallways, gripping my hands. "C'mon Zayn, hurry up!" I readjusted the beanie on her head and fixed her jacket as we entered a room, Patty happily standing beside a machine.

"Hello you two!"

"Hi Patty!" Jessie hugged her tight, making me laugh.

"Someone's excited.."

"Tell me about it." I spoke making Jessie whine, sitting on the hospital bed.

"Is your bladder full Jessie?" Patty flipped through papers on her clipboard.

"Yes and I need to use the bathroom. It's not urgent though." She kicked her legs.

"Loose clothing?"

"Mhmmmm."

"Alrighty then."

"So how does this work?"

"First, you will have to lay back on the bed. I already had it adjusted for you. After that, we can apply the conducting gel to your belly. It won't cause pain, it's just a little cold. It helps the machine pick up the sound waves. This monitor will show your baby on the screen and we will be able to determine its current state."
