Jessie's POV 48

Putting one last pin in my hair, I sighed and dropped my hands to my sides. I stared at myself in the mirror. I was no longer that girl locked in the closet. This was a girl much more confident. Her eyes radiated, unlike the other girl who's eyes were as dull as her skin. Her body was curvy and fairly sized, unlike the other girl who's body was just skin and bones. Everything about this new girl was so much greater than the other girl. But I couldn't see a difference because between both of those girls, they were still broken.

I looked down at my ring, smiling lightly and landing a small kiss to it. My dress was looked over once more, sighing with a sniffle.

"Babe, are you-" Zayn walked into the bathroom, his jaw dropping. "ready? Wow, you look even more stunning every time you put it on."

"Thank you." I nodded, wiping my eyes.

"Having you been crying?"

"Can I lie?"

"No." I frowned.

"No.." I lied, anyways.

"You're lying."

"If you knew the answer then why did you bother asking?" I spat, crossing my arms. Zayn narrowed his eyebrows at me. "I'm sorry, I'm just.... blank."

"Blank?"

"Blank! I don't even know how I'm feeling! One second I'm happy, then I'm sad, then I'm angry, like right now for example! Next thing you know, I'm a hysterical mess!" I sniffled.

"Baby.." My jaw dropped and my hand went to my mouth as I finally saw his clothing. It was his uniform.

"Zayn." I whimpered, shutting my eyes. I felt his arms wrap around me, holding me tight in his arms. I cried so terribly hard into his shoulder, clinging to him for dear life.

"Babe, don't cry right now. At least wait until I'm on the plane. I'm already hurting enough.."

"I'm sorry, I can't help it." I sniffled with a shrug, taking in deep breaths. "I love you."

"I love you, baby." Zayn leaned in, kissing my lips. He sighed when he pulled away, grabbing my hand. "Let's make the next few hours worth while, hm?" I nodded with a smile. Bentley was all buckled up in his carrier, fast asleep with his little jacket on him. It was fairly cold in the beginning of February.

The police officers walked behind us as we left the building, getting into a cop car and driving off. Bentley and I were on either side of Zayn, his arm around me with his other hand playing with Bentley. He giggled and squealed ever so hard as he tried pulling and eating at his fingers. Moments like this made me smile, except the part about Zayn leaving for five years.

"I'd want it to be a girl this time." He spoke, looking down at me as he allowed Bentley to freely abuse his hand. "I'd love a baby girl."

"That would be lovely, a little girl of our own." I smiled at the thought, nuzzling into Zayn. "I'd love if she looked like me."

"Then I'd have to keep away the boyfriends more often." I laughed as he pecked my forehead.

"She'll know better. Let's just hope Bentley will, too."

"He's going to be a stud! With those eyes, he'll make a girl faint with just a glance. I can already see him pulling that flirtatious smile on a pretty blonde."

"Oh hush!" Zayn chuckled, watching Bentley knaw at his knaw at his thumb.

"It feels so weird, he has no teeth. It's just all gum."
