CHAPTER 6 - Arranged Marriage

Edric POV

I was in my room and just drawing Hunter as he is my new boyfriend since last night, i love him so much i kept mumbling to myself as more drawings of hunter was filing the paper, i also did an illusion of him and i was just admiring it..

Till someone knocked on my door,I hid all the drawings and stoped the illusion then wet up to the door to see mom holding a scroll, "Edric this is for you i was told not to read it, also its from the Emperors Coven." Mom said handing me the scroll and leaving to go back to work,

I quickly shut the door and my window and sat on my bed, I was very scared about what the Emperors coven wanted to do with me, I slowly opened the scroll and started reading it,

"Dear Edric Blight, I wanted to talk to you in private about something with the Golden Guard, Do not bring or prank anyone of our coven members and stay noticed that you must come alone to the Castle, I will meet you at rooftop of my castle at 10:30 PM.
                                  

-Emperor Belos

"He wanted me to come there alone.." I thought to myself as i trembled in fear, I knew Amity,Luz,Eda,Lilith and Raine were my friends, and me coming alone to meet there enemy was messed up.. i was just crawled in bed, my knees stuck near my chest, my hands holding my knees, my head rested on the top of my kneecaps and i was trembling more in fear more while thinking about going to the Emperors Castle

After a few minutes of trembling in fear i set a timer, took a shower, changed into clothes i'm gonna use later (The clothes Hunter gave him) to go to the Emperors Castle, and slept so i can at least get some rest.

*Time Skip*

it has been a two hours of sleep and it was the time i went out, i ran through the front door without my mom and dad stopping me since they knew it might be because of the Emperors Coven, while Amity and Emira looked confused why i was dressed like that and were i was going, I started running to save more time to get there and well, It alot of hours to get there but thats why i put a timer early.

I finally got there it was about 11:26 PM and i was late, i started to sneak through the guards turning myself invisible.. I finally got to the rooftop the castle were Emperor Belos and the Golden Guard was standing, I turned myself visible again.

"Im sorry i'm late Emperor Belos.." I said kneeling on knee in the ground and one standing (like a bowing pose, IDK how to explain it), "Its alright at least your here thats the good thing, Also those your family know about this?".

"My mom said she didn't look in the scroll as she was told to and i didn't tell my family about anything sir..." I said as i was trying not to show fear near the Emperor and the Golden Guard, "Good." the Emperor said,

"Now onto the subject on why your here," I looked up as he said that, "I want you to marry the Golden Guard over here, but don't worry you'll still see your friends and family but you will still be living with him." Emperor said seriously as if wasn't a joke,

I looked at him in shocked and the Golden Guard flinched at that sentence turning his head to Emperor Belos, "U-uncle wh-" The Golden Guard was stopped by another sentence, "What will i do if i marry him..?" I asked and the Golden Guard went silent,

"You will need to join the Coven and not tell this to anyone else except your parents when your ready to tell them, You will also not be shown your identity to other Coven or non Coven members except me, Hunter and your parents no matter what.. You will still have school at Hexide and stay home but when i give you a mission you must always stay here till the mission is done......." The Emperor stoped as he was trying to catch his breath.

"What about my family and friends will they be harmed?" I ask without emotion in my whole face as i acted my way that no one has ever seen me do before, "They wont be harmed unless they try to attack a coven member or ruin our plans.....so do we have a deal..?" The Emperor looked at me dead serious with a evil smile that i could see through his own mask, while the Golden Guard was looking at the ground and not saying a word, i was kinda feeling bad for the guy as he was being forced by someone he worshiped the most..

"Yes... we have a deal Emperor Belos." I said looking at him dead in the eye, the Golden Guard was then told to escort me back home, Were we didn't spoke to eachother, my thoughts were on my boyfriend, Hunter and how he would react to this marriage, but i had to do it for him and my family (his also talking about his friends as they are family to him).

It had been five hours and a half since we started walking back home, because i refused to use magic to get back home, then the Golden Guard finally spoke, "So you and i getting married seems to be a bit weird.." I looked at him as i was dead in the outside with a tear falling running down from my cheek, "Yes, But its the best for both of us.." I sigh and i tell the Golden Guard that the teleporting magic would be a bit more handy now since both of us were getting tired from walking, He agrees and we simply teleport to the Blight Manor and i simply got infront of the door and before i could say thank you i turned around to see the Golden Guard was gone.

Is sigh and walk in the house were i was called for dinner by my parents, "Edric come here its time to eat.", I walk near the dining table and take a seat, I ate only a bit of the food. before i could leave my parents where asking what happened at the Emperors Castle, I reply to them "Nothing much..." with that i soon head up to my room.

I get some clothes, take a shower, and tuck myself into bed, I just thought of my boyfriend Hunter and if he was gonna be safe, I also thought of my family while accidentally falling asleep in my desk....

It's for the best...
