CHAPTER 12 - Sibling Talk & Faith

Hunter POV

i was just reading my Spanish book then i got the taught on Vee. Maybe i should check out what she was doing because thats what older brothers do right?

Sure i have stayed with Luz and acted like an older brother to her a lot of times but i have never checked up on her because she would always be with her friends or on an adventure

Its been about three months since i've stayed here in the Human Realm and i know a lot of stuff now, like how the rain here wasn't acidic and i remember that when it was raining outside and we had to go somewhere, i would either just be looking out the window and forced by Vee to come outside

They then showed me that it doesn't hurt and i agreed to come out in the rain but turns out they were right and rain in the human realm doesn't hurt anyone, not even palisman

I put down my Spanish book and walked to Vee's room, I knock on her door and I heard no answer that she gave me, so I just decided to peak my head in her room and when I saw a blanket that was on something I opened the door and heard some noises that I couldn't understand like it was saying Ni-San like what dose that even mean?

I walked up to the blanket and sat beside it, "Vee why are you wrapped in the blanket like that" I said as i sit with a foot crossed ontop of the other, "Can't i not wrap a blanket around myself when its the Winter time?" She said as she paused the sounds coming from something and she looked at me with white freckels on her face and her animal like ears being almost covered by the blanket she was wrapped in

"How are you not even cold?" She asked with a concerned look on her face, "Well i've been through a lot and also the cold never bothered me anyway~" i sang to the tone of that Frozen movie that me and the Noceda's watched a week ago and i gotta admit, i like Elsa since she shows how people rule by their heart.... Wished Belos was as kind as her..

"Are you using a Frozen reference?!" She asked surprised and her face showed that she was about to laugh, "Ya i am" i said as i was about to laugh too. "No wonder Luz and you are a perfect match for siblings-" she said as she let go of the blanket and just layed on the bed with the blanket on top of her only reaching her waist, i then saw a weird black box playing some kind of animated thing, the weird sounds came from it and how is it even playing that?

I just ignored the question i was about to ask Vee but i don't even know if she knows too about this weird black box, i lay in bed with Vee as we both look at the plain old ceiling, thinking deep into our thoughts... it feels relaxing..

I lean my head to my side to see a tear slide down Vee's eyes as she looks at the ceiling like shes going to the darkest world of her thoughts, i think of a way to try and cheer her up and after wrapping some solutions to cheer Vee up i thought of something.

"hermanita (little sister)" I say in a questioning tone, she looks at me with a bit of confusion and curiosity in their eyes, "¿Sí? (Yes?)" Vee ask as she looks at me in the eye, "Did you know i also used to look at the ceiling back at the Boiling Isles, i was really young back then and i didn't meet "them" yet..." I sighed and closed my eyes for a few seconds as Vee looks at me interest in what i was about to say, "But when i met that special person i found hope in my life.. a new beginning... And now... whenever i look at the ceiling, i don't feel sad and questioning.. i just know that everything will be perfect since those special people will always be there for me.." i finish as i look at Vee with a calm heartwarming smile

Vee didn't seem to get what i mean't that much since she still seemed a bit sad, "But i don't get it.. what about me? what does that have to do with me..?" Vee ask in frustration and guilt, she sits up and hold her knees to her chest as she looks down at her own feet as she knows thats not what her true form looks like..
