On top of a grassy hill in the middle of nowhere in an unknown land, a portal suddenly opened up and then deposited Nick and the others out of it and onto the area! As soon as Nick and the others were all outside of the portal, the portal itself disappeared, leaving Nick and the others without a way to get back home!

When Nick and the others finally recovered from their trip through the portal and all got back on their feet, they all noticed where they were and began to look around for any signs of civilization. After traveling for 2 days, they eventually found a city nearby and decided to head there. But when they got to the city, they didn't like what they found!

The city was almost completely covered in snow and most of the buildings were in ruins! They couldn't find any other people anywhere!
David really hoped that wherever Lesley was, that is if she had even been brought to The Real World, that she was okay. He was aware that that should be the least of his problems considering his and the others' situation, but he couldn't help but be worried about her.
