Mason POV:
"Okay Mr. Yeller. You're free to go!" The nurse exclaims as I stand with crutches.
"Thanks." I say hobbling away from the desk.
Mia is the first thing that pops into my head. She's been on my mind this entire times been in the hospital. I have to figure out where she is. I quickly take a few steps back and lean onto the counter.
"Would you by any chance be able to direct me to Mia.. I'm not sure her last name, but when I arrived, she arrived with me. I need to see her." I say frantically. I hope she's still here.
"Uhm. Yeah. One second.." The nurse says trailing off as she types into her computer. "Room 415B on the.... 3rd floor. So go down two floors, and when you get off the elevator, there will be a desk with nurses and you can ask them." She says.
"Okay thanks." I exclaim as I half jog half limp to the elevator. I push the button to floor 3 and the elevator goes down. There's slight music playing which is actually really annoying. The elevator is slow, but I'll get there.
Ding.
The door opens and there's the nurses station.
"Hello. My name is Mason. I was a patient here. I actually just got out. Anyway. I'm here to see Mia? I don't know her last name.." I say as my words are jumbled.
"Oh yes. Go down that hall over there and it should be the fourth door on your left..?" She says questioning herself. "Yeah. Your left." She says correcting herself.
"Thanks." I say as I limp towards the hall on my right. I stop and take a deep breath. Don't mess this up.
I hear the clicking of heels behind me.
"Move." She exclaims walking around me.
"Excuse me? Just because you have heels and a nice purse doesn't mean you're better than everyone else." I say laughing. She just turns and glares at me and walks in front of me. She turns to her left and disappears into a room. I hear a familiar voice greeting her, and I realize that the room that girl just walked into, was room 415B.
