It'll be okay.. Right?

Mason walks in slowly waving and sits down in a chair at the end of my bed.
"Hey. Mia. I get it if you don't want to see me again.. I am so sorry for what happened in the car-" he says ask cut him off.
"I'm not mad about that. I don't care. I'm fine. I was in a coma.. But I'll be alright. But I need to talk to you about something...." I say as I look down at my fumbling fingers.
"Yeah. Go ahead." He says nervously.
"Remember the night at the bonfire?" I ask as my eyes met his.
"Yeah. That was a good night." He says smirking.
"Yeah. Well anyway. I'm telling you flat out. I hate to break it to you. But. I'm pregnant. AND BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING. Yes. I am sure that it is your child. I am just as shocked as you. BUT you seemed interested in me, and we need to talk about this."
"A baby? You're sure.....?" He asks hesitantly as his eyebrows raise.
"Yes. I'm sure. But we need to figure this out. I want you in the baby's life. I'm not raising my child without a god damn father so you know what? No matter what, we are gonna get through anything. This baby is coming and it's yours. So you do your part and take care of it." I blurt out. I didn't mean too.
"Uh..." He says as his voice trails off.
"I seriously don't care what we are going through. We are getting through this. I promised myself that the person I had a baby with, I was gonna stick with them. That's exactly what's going to happen. I'm not having an abortion either. You're either taking care of this child or not." I blurt out again.
"I..... Can I think about this? Process it..and uh get back to you on that..." He says nervously. He begins to stand and pulls himself up.
"I guess. I still have your number. I'll call you tomorrow. But you need to take this seriously. Take responsibility. This child needs to have a damn good life Mason." I say as he begins to limp away.
"Okay. Well. I got to go. Bye." He says and just like that, he's gone.
Fuck.
