One Mistake is all it Took

After my phone call with my mother, I decided I needed to call Kacey.
My best friend since 1st grade.
We've done everything together ever since then.
I need to see if I can stay with her until I get on my feet.
I dial her number and hold the phone up to my ear.
Do I really want to tell her everything that's going on?
Yeah she's my best friend... But I don't really want to tell her that, the bonfire she brought me too, turned out to be the worst day of my life?
That'd probably break her heart to be completely honest.
My thoughts were cut short when Kacey picked up.
"Hello? Who is this?" She asks.
"It's me Kace." (Case) I say biting my lip nervously.
"MIA! Oh my god! What happened to you after the Bonfire? You left with that guy and I never saw you after that." She says as I'm sure she has a smirk on her face, as always.
"Okay. Well I want to explain everything to you in person. Any chance you can come see me?" I ask raising my eyebrows nervously.
"Yeah. I'll be over in a half hour." She says anxiously.
"Kace. I'm... Not. Home...." I say still nervous.
"Where are you then?" She asks.
"The hospital.." I trail off as my mind wanders.
"Okay. Well I'll be there in 20 minutes." She says.
And just like that..
The line is dead.
