19 - Little brother

"What happened? You seem to be lost in a thought", she said.

"Uh. Nothing. Just wondering how can you be born with such letters printed on your wrist", I smiled.

"Hm. No wonders how", she laughed.

I stretched my arms,"We have to go back Seoul tomorrow."

"Huh? We are going back?", she asked.

"Yes. MinMin I mean Min Seong has taken back his case so we will leave tomorrow. I can't stay here any longer", I sighed.

"Hmm. It's already past midnight", she looked at the clock.

"I am going to sleep. Achooo! Bye", I said.

"I will come back in a moment", she said.

"Why? Where are you going?", I asked.

"Washroom. Hehhe! I guess the ramyeon was not good for my intestine", she looked away being embarrassed.

"Uhhhm. Go. It's okay", I went back in my room.

When I closed my eyes, some strange scenarios again came in my mind. Gosh! I think I won't be able to sleep today as well.

Why do I keep dreaming about past? Why do I always get a strange feeling looking at her scar? Why? Are those dreams something more than dreams?

No! No Yoon-Seok don't think about it and sleep tight. Before Ha-Neul came back I already fell asleep and lost in a place I din't want to...

Before Jung finds that girl, I need to reach her. He will stab her the moment he sees her. Jung hates those people who are disrespectful to him. She shouldn't have stand in his way.

I quickly took my horse out of the palace and started searching for that girl. I don't know why I feel like protecting her. I have always been like this. I don't like it when someone takes life of an innocent person. Being born in this palace, I have always seen one thing, that is blood. It would be a lie if I say I haven't killed anyone. Yes I have killed thousands of people. And that guilt doesn't let me sleep. This girl reminded me of my mom who was killed despite of her innocence. The king , my father, didn't hesitate slicing his wife's heart into two when he came to know she stepped out of the palace without his permission to serve poor kids who were brutally beaten by his men. The girl Jung thinks has disrespected him actually doesn't even know how to speak. How can I sit idle and see another innocent life being snatched away.

I went all around the market place but she was nowhere to be seen. I then went to the place we first met, when she was sitting in the middle of road but she was not there too. It's night time and I still haven't find her.

I was wandering around the forest area and I saw Prince Jung's loyal subject on a horse going after someone with his people.

It's her. Definitely they are running after her. If they are going in that direction that means I should take the opposite direction.

I quickly turned away and used a shortcut way to reach that forest they are rushing in.

And as I guessed she was there running to save her life. I quietly jumped from the horse and moved towards her making sure my footsteps aren't heard by Jung's men who were coming with a mashal (fire stick torch) in their hands.

Their footsteps were approaching us in a fast speed. I held her wrist and took her with me. She got scared at first and was about to scream but I made her sit on a cliff and caught her lips in mine.

My back was facing those men. They saw us kissing. I turned around once I felt the flame of fire directioned towards us.
