Writer's POV
The unknown girl who entered the palace as a court lady was always in the prince's eyes. Not only Eun but Jung developed a sense of interest in her. She would always serve tea, prepare the king's bath and do all other stuff in the palace.
One day when she was watering the plants in the palace's garden she accidentally poured water on Prince Eun who was sleeping on the grass. If she knew he was there, she would have never dared to do so.
"I am sorry", she quickly apologized.
"I hope it wasn't intentional", the prince wiped his face with his hands.
"No. Not at all. I didn't know you were here", she said.
"Having a great time?", he asked.
"Huh? Me?", she pointed at herself.
The prince chuckled,"No. The ghost behind you."
She screamed in fear and slipped on the ground. Her head crashed into the prince's chest. Both of them were flushed by the sudden encounter.
The prince cleared his throat and helped her get up.
"I have to water the flowers", she excused herself and left him alone. But the prince didn't walk off. He stood there and saw her watering the garden.
A smile touched his lips when she jumped after seeing an insect crawling on the flower.
They both would always make an eye contact whenever they saw each other. A prince talking to a mere court lady would create problems so he never talked to her infront of people.
She was looking for a book in the ancient library. Her height won't reach the top shelf so she stood on a stool. She didn't know the stool was broken and so lost her balance but she was surprised when she didn't fall on the ground but in the arms of the prince.
She expected it to be Eun but it was none other than the crown prince Jung.
"You are so careless", he said.
"Uh- Thank you", she said awkwardly.
"You are thankful for your carelessness?", he raised his brow.
"No. For..for not letting me fall", she said.
"Jung", a familiar voice distracted them.
"Ah...Brother", Jung gently made the girl stand on the floor.
"I will go now", she bowed and left the two of them alone.
"Stay away from her!", Eun warned.
"Why? Ohhhh. By any chance do you like her?", Jung asked.
"Yes!", the prince said without any hesitation.
Jung smiled and patted his brother's shoulder,"A prince in love with a court lady? Huh? I can't blame you. She is so pretty that I want to sleep with her too."
Eun punched Jung in his face,"Mind your words!"
"I was just testing your love", Jung licked his blood. "I guess it's not temporary."
"It is not. So you better stay away!", Eun's eyes were filled with wrath.
"You will pay for this!", Jung pointed at his bleeding mouth and left away.
On his way, Jung saw Princess Do-Hwa. Curiously he eavesdropped on her and a maid's conversation.
"Make sure you do it by tonight!", the princess handed an expensive necklace to the maid.
