30 - I'll protect her!

"What will you choose?", the goblin asked. "Sorrow or love?"

"Sorrowful love", Ji Eun Tak smiled.

'Beautiful Life' OST plays in the background.

I was cooking in the kitchen while Ha-Neul was watching dramas.

"Hey! I told you to stop watching these emotional things", I shouted from the kitchen.

"What will you choose?", she asked.

"Did you just ignore what I said? Aish!"

"Answer me!"

"I would choose love obviously."

"But what if that love gives you sorrow?"

"Sorrowful or beautiful, love is love. The sadness can be eliminated if the love is strong."

She nodded.

"Now change the show. Don't watch emotional scenes", I went back in the kitchen.

"Where is Soo? Where is she?", Prince Wang So came running to his brother's house after he read Hae Soo's last letters.

"Hey!", I screamed again.

"Didn't I tell you not to watch emotional scenes?", I put my hands on my waist.

"It's not like I am purposely watching emotional shows. I am watching what is coming on the screen", she said.

"Hand me the remote", I snatched the remote from her and checked all the shows. Why are all emotional things coming today?

"Watch Netflix instead", I said.

"Hmm", she nodded.

After cooking, I brought the food in the hall and she was laughing and watching a drama 'Vincenzo'.

I started laughing too. The whole afternoon and evening were spent watching it.

"Why did it end?", she stretched her arms.

"Right? I am wondering same", I sighed.

"It was so good and funny", she said.

"It was good and funny but you still cried on many scenes", I said.

"You are talking as if you didn't cry", she tsked.

"Did I cry?", I asked.

"Yes many times", she said.

"Whatever. Let's go to the terrace. Its barbecue for the dinner", I said.

"Really let's go", she stood up immediately.

I was grilling the meat while she simply looked up at the sky, sitting on the chair.

"Gazing stars at night is so satisfying", she breathed in the air and closed her eyes.

"Right? I enjoy it too", I said.

"What do you like more stars, moon or sky?", she asked.

"To be honest, when I was a kid I loved stars more. When I became a teen I started admiring the moon and now I have fallen in love with sky (Ha-Neul)", I smiled.

"Why did you have so many changes in heart?", she asked.

"Uhm when I was a kid, I liked how small and shiny those stars were. 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' was my favorite song", I laughed on the memory of me singing that rhyme every where.

"Then as a teen, I started relating to the moon because the moon was always surrounded by stars. I was quite popular in high school, you see. So for me those stars were the girls who were always around me", I said.
