While laying on the sofa, I didn't even realize when I fell asleep.

All of a sudden everything came back in motion. I rubbed my eyes and looked behind. The men of Jung were running in my direction. I quickly hid behind a huge tree. Fortunately I was not caught by them. The girl must have crossed the intersection till now.

I still can't get over the fact that every thing stopped. Was it an illusion or was it real? I ran out of the forest and my horse was still standing at his spot looking for me. I patted his head and sat on it.

Once I reached the palace Princess Do-Hwa was standing outside my room.

"Prince Eun you are back", she said once she noticed my presence.

"Hmm. What are you doing here at this late hour?", I asked.

"Waiting for you", her eyes were filled with worry.

"Do-Hwa go back to your room. I am fine", I went inside my room.

"Eun. We are about to get married", she said.

"I know!"

"I don't understand you", she almost cried.

"You don't need to understand me", I said coldly.

"Sometimes you are so rude and sometimes you are so polite. Eun you confuse me", she screamed.

I sighed and locked the door first of all.

"Do-Hwa you also know that this marriage is against my will. I don't love you but still I have to marry you because the king has ordered so", I said.

She scoffed,"Don't make excuses."

"I am making excuses?", I asked.

"Yes. You are!", she picked a strand of hair lying on my hanbok.

"Don't tell me that you love that strange girl. This is her hair, right ? You went to see her, didn't you?", she started crying.

"Do-Hwa neither I love her nor you. So please go back. I am already tired", I sighed.

"Okay. I am going if that's what you want. But remember at the end you have to marry me no matter what", she stepped out of the room.

The next morning, I was summoned by his majesty in his room.

"My greetings to his majesty", I bowed my head down.

"There is a food scarcity in the near villages. Go and see then report me about the situation by tomorrow", he said.

"As you say his majesty", I raised up on my toe and left the room.

Since morning I have visited almost all the villages. It's night time now and I am riding on my horse to the village near to the forest.

When I reached the small and isolated village, there was no one to be seen. People were all sleeping in their houses. Fortunately I saw a young girl in the dark.

"Excuse me", I jumped from the horse and stood behind her.

She turned around and the girl was none other than the girl I kissed last night.

"Oh!", I said.

How will I ask her about the food scarcity. She is mute. She can't speak. Should I try talking her with expressions.

I pointed my finger around the houses and then at my stomach. I held imaginary food in my hand and dropped it in my mouth.

"Did you understand?", I asked.
