Ever since the little 'talk' with Fenrir, Remus stayed underground. He didn't dare set foot outside. He didn't know why, but he just stayed inside, lying down on the dirty ground and looking at the ceiling.

He was still comprehending that everything he did in the past few weeks was all for nothing. In the end, he was still in the place where he came from.

So, for the next few weeks he stayed inside, his mind blank as hunger crawled in his stomach, his mouth was so parched, that his tongue felt like sandpaper. He of course stood up to steal some pieces of meat and some water from the other werewolves.

After awhile, he got kinda bored of lying around, so, he stood up and walked out of the underground, when he poked his head outside, a flash of light made him squint his eyes. After awhile, he got his entire body out of the underground, Vitamin D was splashing onto his pale skin.

He walked across the itchy, browning grass, going closer and closer to the group of trees on the other side. He didn't know why he was going there, Remus guessed it was probably out of habit, since, before he escaped, he would always wake up, while the other werewolves were asleep, he would go into the woods, and just explore, maybe go to the market and steal something.

As he walked further, the woods were only a few metres away from him,

"You're not gonna run away from here again are you?" another werewolf mocked just a few metres away from him,

Remus tried to ignore them, but he did take a quick glance, he saw a group of about five werewolves, three women and two men, all looking dirty, crusty and burly. All the other werewolves chuckled,

"If you don't come back, Fenrir will come for you!" one of the ladies shrieked before they all laughed.

Remus ignored them, not in the mood to deal with them right now.

He entered the woods and walked around, not thinking about much as the trees loomed over him, he thought about running away again, but where would it get him? Fenrir was right, it was better to stay here, were you weren't afraid of judgement.

Remus sighed as he turned around and went back into the hideout, lying on the floor, and looking at the ceiling.

*****

Charlotte stood before her house.

The crickets were chirping and the silent night air was loud, so loud.

Leaves rustling above as Charlotte treaded across the grass, the lights illuminating the darkness.

Her little heart was thumping in her tiny chest, she felt so small as she walked further, the house growing bigger and bigger.

Who was in there? Her family? Her brother? She sure hoped so. But, how would they react, surprise? Shock? Shower her with love? Or would they ignore her? Or be mad at her?

The last option sparked a little bit of fear in her heart. She didn't want her family to be mad at her!

She walked closer, until she was at the door. Her legs were shaking, a icy chill went down her spine, the stitch in her side grew sharper.

She breathed in one more shaky breath, thinking about turning around.

No! She thought, after all, she had came all this way, sleeping and living on the streets for weeks, living off food that had fallen on the ground, and only limiting herself to a few sips of water a day, her stomach was roaring with hunger, she would sell her soul for a drop of water.

And now, she was here. It seemed so surreal, she had always imagined the moment, but, now that her house was right before her, it seemed like a huge dream.

Breathing a deep breath, she knocked on the door.
