Fenrir got out of the underground werewolf hideout. The full moon was going to rise soon, and he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into the boy's flesh. One of his werewolf accomplices knew where Lyall's house was and he told Greyback where it was. He could feel himself getting closer and closer towards the house, but he could also feel the time slipping away. Greyback could already feel some pain in his arms and legs. He began to run until at last, he looked at the back of the Lupins house.

Greyback was in the backyard. The Lupins backyard consisted of nothing special, only just some green grass and he had just come out of a forest, which was connected to the backyard. He could see through a window, that Lyall Lupin and a woman he assumed was his wife, was sitting on a couch, talking about something. When Greyback had seen Lyall, he felt his blood boil and he wanted to break the window and dive at Lyall and sink his teeth into his neck, or something like that! But, as much as Greyback wanted to do it, he knew he had a plan, and he must stick to it.

He walked to the side of the house, away from the room where Lyall and Hope were, and he saw a fence, he climbed over it as if it were no problem, and he found himself, inside the space between the side of the house and the fence on the other side. He walked a few steps before he was in front of an open window, and there he saw Remus Lupin.

Remus sat there, in his room, lights on as he played with a few of his toys. Greyback couldn't believe his luck! It was like the universe was on his side! Remus was all alone, in a room which Greyback predicted must be far from the room his parents were in. He knew he had to act fast, the full moon will be rising soon.

"Hey, little boy," Greyback whisper-shouted until Remus turned his head and looked directly at Greyback. His eyes widened, and for a split second, there was silence, until, Remus opened his mouth, about to scream, but Greyback stopped him before he could,

"Hey, there's no reason to be scared of me, I'm your friend," Greyback said, putting on a gentle voice which was very different from his harsh, cold voice. Remus looked a little less scared, his eyes returned to their normal size, and he closed his mouth.

"What are you doing here?" Remus asked, standing up and walking closer to the mysterious man,

"It's your birthday in a few day time, am I correct?" Greyback asked and Remus nodded his head,

"Well, come with me, your parents want me to show you your early birthday present," Greyback said, indicating for Remus to climb out of the window and follow him,

"Why can't my parents show me?" Remus asked, still not fully trusting the man,

"You see since it's going to be your 5th birthday, your parents wanted to get something special, they are busy preparing a present for you, right now, but they also got you another present and asked me to show you," Greyback lied, and put on a smile to help convince Remus that he was a friendly and trustworthy man. Luckily for Greyback, it worked,

"Ok," Remus said excitedly, going towards the window and Greyback picked him up and put him over the window, and into the outsides, "But, shouldn't I tell my parents I'm going?"

"Your parents already know," Greyback said and Remus nodded. Greyback walked towards the fence and he could hear Remus's tiny footsteps behind him. He hauled Remus over the fence and placed him down on the ground, then climbed over the fence and stood next to Remus. He then walked into the forest and Remus followed, Greyback could hear Remus shivering in the cold and he walked through the forest.

Greyback had to act fast, he could already see the moon rising and he knew that the further away they were from Remus house, the better. He ended up, carrying Remus on his shoulders, as he needed to run to get further away from the house, and he knew that Remus couldn't keep up with him. He could feel Remus shivering on his shoulders and Remus would often ask questions like, "Are we there yet?" or "How much longer?" and it drove Greyback mad, but he had to stay calm.
