Remus and Charlotte just sat there in silence. They didn't talk about how they would escape or where they would go. They just kind of accepted that they would run away. Finally, the cheers died down and everyone went to sleep. Remus slowly counted to one-thousand, and then counted to one-thousand again just to be sure. Remus got up and whispered in Charlotte's ear,
"Let's go,"
Charlotte looked up at him fearfully as though she were starting to think that this wasn't a good idea. But, she slowly nodded. Charlotte got up and they both quietly walked to the exit. They were both careful not to make a sound. They stepped over the sleeping bodies. They tried to ignore the snores coming from the other werewolves. Remus was so close to the exit but he suddenly heard a 'squelch'. Remus looked down and he realised he stepped in some of the blood that came from the dead body. Remus felt sick and he could feel some vomit in his throat. He swallowed and then continued walking.
They both reached the exit. They both climbed out and ran. They didn't care where they were going, they were just running. Remus's legs started to burn, but he knew that the farther away he was from the hideout, the better. Sweat was trickling down his face as he ran. Remus suddenly noticed the market that Remus and Charlotte went to on Christmas day,
"Let's go here!" Remus told Charlotte. Charlotte looked like she wanted to stop and sleep on the ground but she turned in the direction of the market. Remus ran into the market. Remus didn't even realise how late it was. Other than Remus and Charlotte, no one was there. It was pitch black and Remus could only find his way because of the street lights. They both sat down in front of a restaurant and they panted. Both equally exhausted. They sat there for a while,
"Where are we going to go now?" Charlotte asked,
"Anywhere but there,"
