Alaina didn't know how long it had been sense she had heard Alex was to be inprisoned. She had tried to get up and run to help Alex but because of her ankle she had fallen and couldn't move much further without feeling pain. The Chief had then gotten Cathy to help Alaina to the medical tent. There she was put in a bed and her ankle attended to.

Alaina had been restless. She had continuously tried to get up and see Alex. Every time the nurse would run out of her small boxed off office and put her back into bed. After her ankle had healed in a few days thanks to advanced medical equipment, Alaina had started physical therapy to walk again.

She had picked it up quickly. The only thing she had ever thought about was Alex and getting better to see Alex. She had to make sure he was alright. At last after days maybe weeks of trying she had finally began to walk on her own. Cathy had still walked around with her for a few days but today was her first day on her own.

Today was the day she was going to see Alex. Alaina had put on a long sleeve, grey t-shirt, black leather pants and her combat boots. She didn't feel the need to dress up for Alex. She half walked half ran to the prison where she guessed they were keeping Alex.

She stopped in front of the guard. "Let me in." She demanded.

"I don't think-" the guard started.

"Let. Me. In." Alaina hissed.

The guard quietly moved to the side, opening the gate for Alaina. In response, Alaina nodded thanks to the women and walked down the long hallway of the jail they had made from a cave. It was dark and dusty but it did wits purpose. The caves were lit by nothing more then torches, and were easy to get lost in. Alaina had memorized the caves within her first few weeks of being in the tribe, something about the quiet calmed her.

Now she grabbed her flashlight from her pocket and started down the hallways. She gazed into every cell, she knew Alex wouldn't be in one of the ones close to the door. She continued to walk, until she heard something move behind her. Alaina turned around and scanned the hallway behind her. She turned out her flashlight and bent into a crouch.

She waited beside the wall, waiting for the cause of the sound. A body formed along the hallway. Alaina smirked at the stupid person and stood, clicking on her flashlight. The person raised their arms to cover their eyes from the sudden light.

"Cathy." Alaina sighed. "What are you doing down here?"

"I came to find you." Cathy squeaked. "I was worried you'd gotten yourself hurt again."

Alaina did a heavy sigh and bend down in front of Cathy. She put her hand on the little girl's shoulder and smiled lightly.

"You don't had to watch me anymore Cat." Alaina said "I'm ok now."

Cathy shook her head "No, you're not. I've seen the looks on your face, I've heard you cry at night. This, sulking through dark tunnels, is not alright."

"Cat..." Alaina put her hands over her face. "If I let you come with me will you tell anyone?"

"Cross my heart." Cathy smiled.

"Yea, yea whatever." Alaina smirked "lets just go."

Cathy gave a big smile and took Alaina's hand. Both girls continued to walk down the hallway in silence. Alaina looked in every cell, but didn't see Alex. She had given Cathy the flashlight to keep her occupied.

"Ugh." Alaina grumbled. "He's not here! Come on Cat, lets go look some where else."

Cathy looked up at Alaina and bit her lip. "Al." She said.
