Maekayla's point of view

The destination of the date was unbelievable. Max was never one to have those 'lets just be by ourselves' dates. He liked going to posh restaurants and amusement parks for dates. However, I liked quiet dates, so obviously had different ideas of them.

Never would I think he'd take me to the beach for a date.

Right now, we were walking along the shore together. His hand was in mine and my head was on his shoulder. The moon never looked so brighter than it did right now.

"That is amazing," I said and looked at him. "I thought you didn't like dates like this?" I asked him and he smiled at me.

"I'll do anything for you," he said. "And you like dates like this, so a date like this is what you were going to get." He said and I smiled.

"You're too sweet." I said and laid my head on his shoulder. "I don't even know why you wanted to get back together, you're way out of my league." I said and he stopped us.

"If anything, you're out of my league." He said. "I wanted to get back together because I missed you and I missed us. I made a mistake and I want to fix it. I want to show you I learned from my mistake. That I'm better now." He told me and I looked up at him.

His eyes looked so beautiful. They sparkled in the moonlight. I leaned up and pressed my lips against his. "Yes," I said and smiled while he looked confused. "I forgive you."

"You do?" He asked me excitedly and I nodded. He smiled so big, it looked like his cheeks hurt. He picked me up and spun me around. "Will you be my girlfriend again?" He asked me and I nodded.

"Yeah, I'd love too." I said and he kissed me this time. I kissed him back and the cold ocean waves splashed against my legs. They were ruining his jeans but he didn't seem to care.

"I have a picnic blanket not to far from here," he said after he pulled away. "Are you hungry?" He asked and I shook my head. "Too bad, you're eating anyways." He said and I laughed as he threw me over his shoulder.

"Put me down," I said and he hummed. "Max, please." I said and then saw his bum. "Booty," I said and slapped his bum. He jumped and I laughed.

"Booty," he said and gave my bum a little slap. We laughed and I shook my head at how stupid we were.

I've never felt this happy or free and I loved it.

He carried me a few more minutes and then he set me down. "It's up here, c'mon." He said and brought a rope down. I grabbed on to the rope and then started climbing up.

He helped me up and I rolled my eyes. Cheeky little shit. I got up and then rolled over on to the grass. I looked up and then smiled. The stars were so beautiful.

When he got up, he laid down beside me and smiled. "The basket is just right there, along with the blanket." He said and I nodded. "I love this view," he said and I looked at him, he was looking at me.

"You're cheesy," I said and smiled. "You're lucky you're cute," I said and he laughed. He pulled me into his arms and chuckled as he smushed me against his chest.

"You're the cute one," he said and kissed my head. "Especially when you laugh like that. It's so cute. You have little gasps in it and you squeeze your eyes shut."

I blushed and buried my head in his chest. "Stop, I'm blushing." I mumbled and he 'aww'ed at me. "I look terrible when I blush, stop." I said.

"You never look terrible," he told me and pulled me away from his chest. "You always look good. You have no idea how many girls would die to be like you."
