-I haven't done this in awhile, but if you ship Lashton, shout out to you. We can all come together and gush over how cute they are. I love you guys and there's a little something something for us all in this chapter.

Maekayla's point of view

I sat in the car, my sketchbook in front of me, along with my carry on for the plane. My actual suitcases were in the trunk, along with the rest of the boys'. Michael was just saying goodbye to our parents for the both of us since he didn't want them to hurt me. They were heartless when it came to what they said, they didn't believe words hurt, but they did. They hurt a damn lot.

The other boys, despite us having their luggage, were with their own families. They all wanted to meet up at the airport, which was fine with me and Michael. I would have liked for Calum to be with us but he wanted to be with his family, which I respected. He saw them a few times and that's it. It wouldn't be fair to him or his family if he didn't even get a chance to say goodbye because of me.

The car door opened on the drivers seat and I looked at Michael. "You excited to be getting out of this dump?" He asked and I shrugged. "You don't know?"

"I want to get out, I am excited, however, it feels weird knowing I'm about to leave the only place I've ever known." I told him and he nodded. He started the car and then turned on the radio.

"Are you up for a little Avril Lavigne?" He asked me and I nodded. Soon, one of her songs came on and I smiled. "Hey hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend." He sang in the highest, most annoying voice I have ever heard.

I shook my head and laughed as he danced in his seat. "You're an idiot Michael." I told him and he chuckled as he nodded. "How are we related?"

"Because my dad fu-"

"Spare me the details." I said and he laughed. "I don't want to think about that." I said and looked back down at my drawing. I began shading it in, and I could feel Michael looking at me. "Eyes on the road Mikey, I don't want to get into a car crash."

"I won't crash, I know how to drive a car." Michael said and I nodded. "I just wanted to see what my little artistic baby sister was drawing." He told me and I sighed.

"People." I said and closed my sketchbook. "I'm drawing people and you can see when it's done." I said and he nodded. "For now, eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel."

"But what if I-" He took his hands off of the wheel and the car swerved just a little. "Do I need my hands on the wheel? Is it necessary?" He asked me and I clutched on to the dashboard.

"Fucking hell."

"Language." Michael told me and I glared at him. He shouldn't be talking. "There is no swearing in my car." I hit his arm and he swore himself.

"Language." I teased and he just laughed. "Stop trying to kill us." I told him and he nodded, putting both hands on the steering wheel.

"The airport we're going to is like an hour drive, if you wanna take a nap you can." He told me and I nodded as I set my notebook under my seat. "I promise not to crash."

"I better wake up from this nap Michael." I mumbled as I nuzzled my head against to car window. "I'll haunt you if I don't."

"I'm glad for the change in attitude towards living." I heard him mumble and I cracked a smile. "Don't worry, you will, I promise."

"Flight AR18567 to Los Angeles, California now boarding." A robotic voice said and I looked up. Calum slipped his hand into mine and we made our way to the plane. I leaned my head on his shoulder and he kissed my head.
