Maekayla's point of view
When we exited the plane, I was extremely surprised to see how many people were there waiting for the guys. Security guards were holding some fans back and the police were here aswell. The guys were taking this as if it was a normal thing, but to me, it wasn't.
"Come on, we're going out the back, the guards are forcing us to." Calum whispered in my ear as he grabbed my hand. I nodded and we went to the luggage claim.
We grabbed our things and were escorted out of the building by police officers and security guards. We put our things in the trunk of the car and I got in, the screaming of teenage girls overwhelming me. "Here," Calum told me and handed me a pair of headphones. "The car ride is gonna take awhile."
"Thanks." I said and took them. He took the very back of the car with Luke and Michael sat beside me with Ashton in the passenger seat. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and turned it on. I plugged in my headphones and put my music on. The song 'Photograph' by Nickelback played and I leaned my head on the window.
Buildings passed, tall skyscrapers and houses that looked really nice. Shops were everywhere and the traffic was bad after a bit of driving. There were times where I could see the beach as we drove and times where I could see staduims and such.
I smiled at the thought of my brother, boyfriend, and best friends playing at those stadiums. The thought of them playing to thousands upon thousands of people made me feel extremely proud. It's not everyday you see a band like them; age wise, personality wise, style wise, etc. achieve such success. It just doesn't really happen.
Being in LA made me feel different. No one here knew who I was and my past beside for the people in this car. I wasn't anywhere close to my parents, to my old schools, to Max's grave. I was in a new place and I had a chance to change my life around completely.
I had the chance to change who I am for the better. I had the chance to make something of myself with people who believe in me. I had the chance to fix everything and forget what needs to be forgotten.
I looked down at my lap and tapped my finger on my thigh. I was glad to be here, no, I wasn't just glad, I was ecstatic. If I could, I would jump and laugh and scream out how thankful I am to have these boys in my life and to be here.
I didn't know how much time passed as I did absolutely nothing, but it must have been a lot because the next thing I knew, I was being poked by my brother telling me we're here.
I took the headphones off and looked out of the window as the guys all got out of the car. "Wow, it's so beautiful." I said as I unbuckled my seatbelt slowly.
"Not as beautiful as y-."
"Deez nuts." Michael said, cutting Calum off and I laughed. "Now, come on, I want to show you around." He told me and I nodded. I opened up the car door and stepoed out, wobbling a bit from sitting so long.
I heard the car's wheels against gravel and I felt an arm over my shoulder. "I have your suitcases, don't worry about them stealing your clothes." Ashton told me and I thanked him.
I took them from him, after a small dispute over it, and we walked up to the door as Luke began to try and unlock the door with his millions of keys. "It's the one engraved with LA Lucas, jesus christ." Michael said and I chuckled.
"Mean much?"
"I'm tired," He grumbled to me and I shook my head. "And Luke is being a fucking idiot. The only key that works to our LA house, it the one engraved with LA." He said and then walked in as the door opened.
"Welcome home baby girl." Calum said and I smiled. When we stepped in, he pulled me close and then pressed his lips against mine. I kissed him back and I heard disgusted sounds leaving my brother's lips.
"I wanna make-out with someone."
"Keep your hands off of my sister Ashton." Michael said and I laughed mentally at him. He wants to kiss the blonde one Mikey, not me. That 'pretty blonde boy with galaxies in his eyes, flowers in his heart, and beautiful thoughts in his mind' right beside you.
"I um, no, not her. I wouldn't kiss her because she's with Calum and she's your sister." He spoke and we pulled away. "Luke, come help me with my bags since our rooms are like right next to each other?"
"Of course Ash, come on."
"Okay you guys, let's lay down some rules. No sex, no making out while I'm in the room, no flirting when I'm in the room or within hearing range, no taking showers together even if it does save water, oh and no sex." Michael said and looked at us. "Keep it in your pants or your hand Calum."
"Fine." He said and I just rolled my eyes. "Want me to help you with your things Kayla?" I shook my head but he took one of my bags anyways. "I don't know why I asked, I was gonna take one anyways."
"You're an idiot." I said and Michael pretended to gag as he walked away. I followed Calum, my suitcases in my hand, as he showed me where my room was.
I looked around the house as I followed him, practically 'aww'ing at the view of the city it had. It was stunning. The buildings looked layered and you could see the roads full of cars zooming past.
When we got to my room, I set my bags down and looked around. "Thank you," I told him, meaning so much more than just for taking me to my new room.
"You're welcome baby."
"No, I mean for everything." I said and he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Thank you for running after me. Thank you for being there for me. Thank you for all the adv-"
"You're definitely welcome," he said and grabbed my hand as he pulled me close. "But I want to thank you, for letting me in after everything that's happened to you." He told me.
"You're welcome I guess."
"You shouldn't be thanking me though, you should be thanking Michael actually. He's done so much, whether you realize it or not." He told me and I looked at him. I nodded and he smiled. "I'll help you settle in after you're finished talking to him."
I kissed his cheek and then left the room, looking through them. When I opened the door, I saw Luke and Ashton making out, Ashton's hands in the back pockets of Luke's jeans and Luke's hands in Ashton's hair.
"Get some!" I said and then closed the door. I heard giggling after I closed the door and I opened one at the beginning of the hallway. I was my brother's figure unpacking and I walked into his room.
"Hey Mikey?"
"Yeah?" He asked as he turned around. "What's up?" He asked me as he unzipped one of his suitcases and took the contents out.
"I just want to say um thank you, for everything." I told him as I rubbed my arm. "Even the small things like when you'd sit and draw with me or braid my hair when you're bored."
"You're welcome." He told me and smiled. "You're my baby sister, I'd do anything for you. I'd take a bullet for you. I'd even stop eating pizza for you if you wanted." He told me and I laughed.
"That's probably one of the sweetest things anyone has told me because I know how much you love pizza." I told him and he nodded. "But really, I thought I'd hate having you home, and truth be told I did at first, but now, I'm glad you came back."
"I'm going to let you in on a little secret," he said and stopped taking things out of his suitcase. "Even if I wouldn't admit it before, I was excited to see you after so long, even if it wasn't a lot. I missed you."
I smiled and he opened his arms. I went up to him and took the hug. "I love you Kayla," he said and I felt like crying. "My little baby sister."
"I love you too Michael," I said and sniffled. "You're the best older brother ever."
