"i find peace in looking at the stars with you"

She goes straight to the kitchen, figuring they were there as she couldn't hear anyone's voice when she came into the house.

Upon entering the kitchen, she sees her mum and her grandparents with Mrs Kim. "Oh? Why are you home so early?", in light shock, her mum says.

"Ah... well," she starts off, her hand automatically reaching up to scratch the back of her head.

"I sort of-wait no it wasn't me," she rambled, gesturing with her hands.

"Well sort of? I guess... I, uhm, got kicked out of the museum...", her voice got smaller and smaller to the end, as she tried to reason out with her hands.

"Oh god...", Mrs Jung reacts, letting her head fall on her palm as she sighs in disappointment.

Lifting her head up, she looks at Gyeoul, asking, "what happened?"

"Well, I was "laughing too loud" they said" she says, raising up her two fingers, folding them slightly to make quotation marks.

"And apparently the people visiting the museum thought it was a library so they reported me to a guard saying I was causing too much of a ruckus." Giving her mum a "can you believe that?" look.

"AND! I mean I did say it was only sort of my fault- I mean yeah maybe I should've brought my earphones- but I couldn't because it was dead plus I couldn't find any wired earphones." she rambled on, still not caring that Mrs Kim was listening to her rant.

"And of course he'd kick me out since he obviously can't kick Sunoo out, how can the guard do that? Sunoo is on my phone but I'm the one who's physically there so of course he'd kick me." she says, rolling her eyes.

Finally registering in her mind that Mrs Kim was in the kitchen as well, her eyes widened for a second, "Oh, hello Mrs Kim." smiling, she bows.

Mrs Kim, who was quiet the whole time listening to the teenager rant, was shocked as she heard her son's name. "Oh no, you must be really disappointed your day was cut short. I'm sorry about my son." she sincerely apologised, reaching up to hold Gyeoul's hand.

"Ay no no, it's fine. Sunoo and I had fun despite the day ending too soon." she says, trying to comfort Mrs Kim.

"I was just exaggerating! Don't worry about it, Mrs Kim!" she said in a light tone, waving her hand at her to show that she genuinely meant what she was saying.

"Well, how was the museum trip?" her mum asks.

--

"BYE MRS KIM! VISIT US SOON!" Gyeoul shouted as she closed the door.

"Gyeoul! Come here and eat!" her mum called out.

Sliding her way to the kitchen happily, she ran to her seat as soona s she passed the door.

"Aish, you have to stop doing that, you're gonna slip one of these days." her mum worriedly nagged.

Saying a quick "thank you for the food" and taking a spoonful of rice to her mouth, "It's food. It can't wait, mum" she says.

"Ah... this child..."

"Wow! This is soo good!"

"You say that about everything I put on the table." her mum deadpanned.

"Well it's true!"

Realising something, she put her utensils down and swallowed the food in her mouth, "Mum can I go to the roof? I want to go stargazing and get some air for a bit. Is that okay?" she asks.
