"you are the reason why my days are brighter"

"Wow!"

"Hello!"

After watching the penguins and teasing Sunghoon, they quickly left the zoo to catch the nearby bus and off to the pet cafe they went to so they would have more time to spend with the dogs. As soon as they entered the building, they were already rushing to get into the cafe, their excitement couldn't be contained.

"I really love dogs. Whenever I'm down as soon as I see them, I feel so much better." Heeseung states, not really caring about who did and didn't hear him, his eyes were just fixated on the dogs who were running around the cafe.

"It's the perfect place for healing..." she mumbles but all three boys heard the whisper as they silently agreed.

"Oh look! His tail reminds me of K hyung's long legs!" Jungwon exclaimed, his hyungs agreed as he whispered to Gyeoul that his K hyung was a sunbaenim to all of them in school but they are friends. Unfortunately, Jungwon does not remember how they met each other.

"Oh yeah!"

"Woah, his hair too..."

"That's a mini version of K hyung," they laughed.

They sat at a table across the counter but closer to the windows.

"This fella is Jake," Sunghoon pointed out. "Oh my gosh, they really look the same..."

"Jake looks like a golden retriever, no?"

"Jay! Hey, Jay! Go there!" Sunghoon called out. Another uncanny resemblance to his friend had him all giddy, not caring if the people he's mentioning aren't in the room to be teased, just glad that the attention was now not on him. The rest followed, calling the dachshund breed who looked confusedly at them.

"Jake! Come here–yeah, sit down-high five!" he commanded, to which the dog complied, making everyone fascinated by the golden retriever they've been calling Jake. "This dog is smart, woah!"

As the sun began to set, the four kids said bye to every dog they met and played with, collectively agreeing that they should catch the bus while the sun was still setting knowing it would be safer to go home earlier.

Walking their way back to the bus stop, Sunghoon and Heeseung were checking the footage they took during the tour, while Jungwon was clinging on to Gyeoul—talking about his dog, Maeumi. Gyeoul broke into a fit of laughter after Jungwon shared that he initially forgot he had a dog.

"Do you like him, Noona?"

"Hm? Who?" Jungwon gave her a knowing look, "Do you like Sunoo hyung?" Gyeoul froze at the question.

Do I like him?

The question had caught her off guard. She had no idea how she'd answer the younger boy's question because she's never really thought of it that way.

Kim Sunoo is attractive and kind in so many ways than one. She even thought that if he regularly went to school, he'd be very famous with everyone, not only the ladies. She wouldn't lie and say she doesn't find him attractive because she was, not only, very well aware of it but also finds him attractive.

But beyond attraction, does she actually like the guy?

That's the question she couldn't answer.

Thinking about the amount of effort she would exert into doing the bucket list alone was a different level of kindness and affection for the boy already. And even the simplest of actions she did for him were something she couldn't do without going the extra mile.
