By the time we got to Hogwarts it was late in the afternoon. There was just enough time for a quick tour by the house leaders, and dinner. It was decided that the housing ceremony would be postponed until the following morning. We went to bed in any dorm we desired that night. Pansy and I shared a dorm, and the best part about that part was that we got the whole thing to ourselves. Usually there'd be around 4-6 people per dorm, but for some reason there weren't enough girls to spread evenly. Which meant more room for us. Pansy and I had a four bed room. The only bad part was that our dorm was directly next to the bathroom. It didn't smell bad or anything, it's just that sometimes at night you can hear moaning myrtle a girl's ghost that haunts the girl chambers.

We dropped our things off to the dorms and returned to the dining hall ready for supper. During dinner, everyone was talking about how strange what happened on the train was. I didn't participate in any conversations, just distantly listened. Someone caught my attention by saying;
"I heard that dementors attacked Harry Potter's cabin."
I looked up at Mattheo, who was sitting diagonally from me. He returned my glare. It appeared we weren't the only ones who knew what truly happened.
"Silence!" Demanded Albus Dumbledore. All heads turned his way. He was standing at the front of the hall, for all to see.
"Many are passing rumours regarding the events of this morning. I would like everyone to know they are nothing but that. Rumours." He announced. After that everyone moved on, no longer talking about whatever it was they thought happened. Until Draco, who was sitting across from me and next to Mattheo whispered to us.
"You two saw what happened, you went to check. What was it?"
"Just like the lady said, technical difficulties, it was a waste of time." I lied.
"Oh yeah? What happened to his face then?" He asked pointing a thumb Mattheo's way. "I slipped." Mattheo chimed in.
"And cut your face on what?" Draco continued. "The windowsill." He said easily.
After that Draco left it alone, or he was about to until he caught a glimpse of the painful, purple ring around my neck.
"The HELL happened there?!" He said, no longer whispering.
"Shhhhhhhh!" I hissed.
"Did someone choke you?!" He whisper-shouted.
I didn't say anything, I just looked down at my plate, which was still pretty full, as it hurt to eat.
Draco snapped his head towards Mattheo.
"Did you do that?!" He very wrongly accused.
"WHAT!? NO!"
"Than what the fuck happened to my sister." Draco interrogated.
"Awwwww! You called me your sister."
"Whatever." He said, rolling his eyes.
"We will tell you all what happened in private, after dinner in our dorm. Alright?" Mattheo said through clenched teeth.
(He, Draco, Tom, and their other friend who was coming later, all share a dorm.)
Once everyone had finished we retreated to our chosen dorms. Pansy and I waited until everyone was inside, before sneakily making our way to the boy's dorm.
When the whole group was together, gathered around in the dark room, our faces dimly lit by a candles' light; we told them every thing. Every single detail. They were all amazed. Suddenly the door opened and a boy walked in. This must be the friend they were talking about.
"You guys up?" He whispered.
"Yes, we're over here." Tom called out to him.
He came over to see us sitting in a circle around a candle. He dropped his luggage and came closer.
"What are you guys doing?" He asked utterly confused by the scene before him.
"Summoning a demon." I joked.
"Hold on, there are two girls." He said.
"Wow Theo, I didn't know you could count." Pansy laughed.
"And I'm guessing that ones Pans, so who may this be?" He asked in a flirty voice.
"Hi I'm Y/n." I introduced myself.
"Draco's sister." Blaise clarified.
I couldn't quite see Theo, but I knew that his eyes widened, and his jaw dropped.
"WHAT?!-"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm his sister, wow. This reaction's getting old so can we please just skip this part." I said slightly annoyed.
"Ooh, feisty." Theo said.
...
"Anyway..." I began.
"Pans, we should probably get going." I told her.
"Yep." She said. She stood up giving Blaise a goodbye kiss.
"Barf." I mumbled. She elbowed my arm. We left.
When we got back to our dorm, I was about to go to bed when she stopped me and said;
"Wait! You said you would tell me what happened in the bathroom 'later'. Well it's later."
I sighed, I was kinda hoping she would forget about that.
We were sitting down on our beds.
"So... what happened." She asked smirking.
"It was nothing Pans, really."
"Don't lie to me. I saw it. It was definitely something."
"I was cleaning his cut for him, then the train started moving. I wasn't expecting it and I fell backwards, but he caught me, that's it."
Even though I didn't explain it in the most romantic way like she had hoped, she still looked satisfied.
"Can I sleep nowwwww?" I pleaded.
"Yeah, yeah."
The two of us laid down in bed.
"You should of seen the way you were looking at each other though." She mumbled before drifting off.
"Wait what?"
...
"Pans?"
'What does that mean' I thought. I decided to just let it go, and drift off as well.

The next morning we were all called down to the hall once again, both to eat our breakfast, and too watch the new comers be sorted into their houses, me being one of those new comers. Being amongst all of those 12 year olds was awkward, but I couldn't really care less, I was still hung up on the fact that I have to get up at 8:00am every day for the rest of the year.
One of the few downfalls of coming to Hogwarts. Everything else was great. The food was amazing, (too bad I couldn't bring myself to eat too much of it lately.) and the students were all really nice. School had been pretty good so far.

All the other kids had gone up on stage, been sorted into a house, and went down to join the table of their house. I was last. Of course I was. That part made me a bit more nervous. I waited for my name to be called.
"Y/n Malfoy." Ms Mgonagal called for me to enter the stage.
The crowed began to murmur. I assumed it was about my last name, as usual.
The sorting hat was placed on my head and I awaited an answer, I wanted to get off this stage as fast as I could.
"Hmmmm, interesting, very interesting..." said the hat.
"Slytherin!" He exclaimed. I feeling of relief washed over me. Smiling, I was about to take it off, when it said;
"Wait! Gryffindor!"
I stopped in my tracks. Being on another table, away from my friends was the last thing I wanted.
"No! Hufflepuff!"
At this point everyone was just as confused as me. Even the teachers/staff were looking at each other, but they weren't confused, they were scared.
"Ravenclaw! Slyther- huffle- griffin-" the hat began to cough and splutter, before falling to the ground.
"She broke the hat!" A boy screamed from with in the crowed.
"Shut up Longbottom." I heard Draco snap, making me smile slightly.
Ms Mgonagal came to pick up the hat.
"I am so sorry." I apologised.
"That's quite alright." She said, barely making eye contact with me.
"Join whichever house you please." She added.
"Slytherin." I said.
"Slytherin!" Ms Mgonagal announced, substituting the hat.
I sat down next to Pans and the others.
"What the hell happened?!" Pansy questioned.
"Don't ask me." I said, I knew just as much as they did.
"Maybe I'm just so awesome I don't fit into one category." I said jokingly.
Pans rolled her eyes playfully.
