Ridiculous

A few hours had passed and the day was coming to a close. A satisfying one at that. The group and i spent the entire day just hanging out. It was great. I never wanted it to end, but unfortunately, everything must come to an end. Which brings me to Monday. In most people's opinions, the worst day of the week. And with that I would agree.

I was sleeping, of course, happy to be back in my own bed, something I had only been deprived of for a few days, but missed so very dearly.
"Hey! Get up! You're gonna be late!" Pansy called while shaking me awake. We must have slept in because she was never this hostile.
My eyes opened slowly to see Pansy's face looking down at me.
"Hurry up!" She said basically pulling me from the bed. I groaned, not wanting to leave. Giving me a major head rush, I stood up, forced on my uniform, and got ready for the day.
Pans took my hand and led me out of the dorm.
"What are you so worried about?" I asked.
"And also, where are we going? Don't we have different classes to go to?" I asked, walking with her.
"No! We have Professor Lupin's class today." She informed me, re-jogging my memory.
We entered the classroom joining the others. That morning I got a few strange glances, and some considerate comments, and pats on the back. Which quite frankly we're more embarrassing than comforting. We got to the class and met Draco and Mattheo. Tom would have usually been there as well, but I guess we have to get use to not seeing him anymore.

We stood in the open classroom. I waved at my brother and Mattheo, not wanting to talk over Professor Lupin.
"Good morning class." Lupin announced.
"Let's get straight to it shall we?" He gestured to a strange wardrobe.
"Can anyone tell me what a Boggart is?" He asked the class.
Unsurprisingly, Hermione was the only one to raise her hand.
"Yes miss Granger." Lupin sighed.
"A Boggart was an amortal shape shifting non being that took on the form of its observer's worst fear." She explained formally.
"Correct, as always, miss Granger." Lupin confirmed.
"This wardrobe, contains a Boggart itself. Today's lesson, is to learn the spell 'ridiculous'" Lupin began. He finished instructing and demonstrating our task for the day, and now it was our turn to attempt the spell. I turned to my friends, a look of worry creeping onto my face. The concerned look from me seemed to reflect theirs. We slipped to the back of the firming line of students, hoping to run out of time before it reached our turns.
Student after student went, a large amount of their fears were hysterically stupid.
I noticed how little classmates were left in the line a head of me. I panicked. I made sure Pans, Draco and Mattheo were ahead of me. Desperate, I knew my fear was somehow related to my father, and there was no way I was going to share that with a classroom full of people. 5,4,3 the amount of remaining people in the line narrowed. Mattheo turned back to me,
"Go in front of me" He said nervously.
"Was that a question or a statement?" I asked.
"Please?" He asked, I began to notice his anxiousness. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Hey? What's wrong?" I asked softly, trying to play off as calm despite my pounding heart and shallow breaths.
"They're gonna find out. About my father." He whispered. I considered what he was saying and knew it was the right thing to do. For him.
I nodded, hesitantly. He let himself breathe.
"Mine too." I said under my breath referring to what he said before. Mattheo looked at me, I wondered if he had accidentally heard me.
It came to the girl in front of me. I tried to slow my rising heart rate. My hands began to shake. I couldn't stop. Suddenly I felt Mattheo grab my hand, my hand in his, preventing it from shaking. I looked up at him, shocked. He gave me an encouraging smile. No one was looking at us, they were too busy watching the girl who was having her turn, or chatting amongst themselves. I let go of his hand as the girl cast her spell, and joined the others who had finished.

I approached the wardrobe and watched as the door creaked open. Oddly, the person that came out, wasn't my father, or Voldemort, or even Lucius. It was myself. I was covered in blood, wide eyed and smiling a smile that was wicked in a way.
I stared at myself in shock.
"Oh my god." I whispered to myself.
"Don't worry, it's not mine." My voice said, coming from the clone, followed by a manic laugh.
Slowly the clone began, making her way towards me.
The scene began to attract the attention of my classmates. The clone was right next to me, I couldn't move, for some reason I was frozen. Like a dear in headlights. The clone brought it's face right up to mine, I made myself look away.
"Ridiculous!" Lupin yelled. I closed my eyes, but I could still see the light flash.
When my eyes opened again, everyone just stared, speechless. Including Mattheo. His face read a mix of confusion and sadness.
"Shows over! What are you all looking at?" I said to the students making them go back to their conversations awkwardly.
"Uh... alright." Lupin said breaking the tension.
"Next?" Lupin called.
I shot a look at Mattheo, I guess there was more time after all. He looked back at me and his eyes widened. I shrugged at him with a panicked look that signalled 'I don't know what to do!'
"Mr Riddle?!" Lupin called impatiently.

I did the first thing that came to my mind. I dropped onto the floor, my eyes closed. I felt people surrounding me.
I heard Pans, and Draco running over to me.
"Back up everyone!" Lupin ordered making his way through the crowed. "I'll take her to the medical wing." Lupin said.
"No!" Mattheo snapped. Everyone's heads turned towards him, shocked with his sudden out burst. "I mean... I'll take her." He said calmly.
"That's alri-" the Professor began.
"I said ILL TAKE HER!" Mattheo said less calmly.
Everyone stepped out of his way. He picked me up and carried me out of the classroom.
