"Aww, look at the beautiful little, HOLY FUCK!!!" Blitzo yelled, seeing the baby's face.
"Oh, those are definitely his father's eyes," Millie said. "He's very beautiful though."
"Yeah," Mya said, gently cradling her newborn son.
"So what's his name?" Millie asked.
"Silas, Silas Malachi Agnello," Mya said.
"That's cute, who came up with that?" Millie asked.
"We both did," Stolas said, happily.
"Yep," Mya said, carefully handing Silas to his father for him to hold. Stolas carefully held his son and looked down at him.
"Hello, Silas. I'm glad to finally meet you," Stolas said softly.
"My dad is going to flip..." Mya said. "This is going to be an interesting birthday surprise for him," she said, picking up her phone.
"It's his birthday?" Moxxie asked.
"It's all of our birthdays. I was born 24 years after he was, and Silas was born 26 years after I was," Mya said, calling up her father on facetime.
"Well isn't that funny," Blitzo said.
"Yeah," Mya said, as her father answered the facetime call.
"Hey, kiddo, how's it goin'?" Mason asked.
"Nothing much, just wanted to wish you a happy birthday and wanted to show you your birthday gift," Mya said. Stolas lowered himself so that Mya could show Silas to her father. "We got our wish."
"Well I'll be damned. Look at him, he looks just like his Mama," Mason said.
"Yeah," Mya said, putting the camera back on herself. "We do need to talk when I get out of the hospital. It's uh...pretty important."
"Alright, hon. I'll see you then. Happy birthday," Mason said.
"Happy birthday, Dad," Mya said, before hanging up.
"I didn't take you for a daddy's girl," Stolas said.
"Mm," Mya said, sitting up, wincing slightly. "Why didn't anyone tell me that giving birth was fucking exhausting?"
"No one told your ass to get pregnant," Blitzo said.
"Hey, it takes two to tango. This isn't just on me," Mya said, as a nurse came back in to take Mya and Silas to a recovery room, where they could rest. "Yay, another room," she said, getting into the wheelchair carefully. Mya was wheeled into her new hospital room, Stolas following with Silas in his arms.
"This is where you will be recovering. You have a button by the bed if you need help, and there will be a nurse that will come in to check on Mom and baby every few hours," the nurse said, helping Mya into the bed, before heading to the door. "I'll be back with a crib for Baby."
"Okay, thank you," Mya said, adjusting the bed a little. The nurse gave a nod and headed toward the door, eyeing Stolas. Stolas noticed the nurse staring and looked at her, before sitting down in a chair beside the bed. "Is he asleep?"
"Yes," Stolas said, cradling Silas.
"Okay..." Mya said. "Where did the others go?"
"They left. They said they'll be back to check on you," Stolas said.
"Oh, okay," Mya said, leaning back a little, before looking at him. "I have to tell my dad."
"I know," Stolas said. "That's why I stayed behind."
"He's not going to be happy about this. He'll say I should have told him sooner, so he could castrate you for touching his daughter," Mya said.
"Oh?" Stolas said nervously.
"Yeah," Mya said. "So I'd steer clear of his hands when he reaches into his pockets if I were you."
"That explains where you get it from," Stolas said.
"Mhm," Mya said, grabbing her phone, before texting her father to instead come to the hospital when he had time so they could talk, getting a quick response. "He's on his way, brace yourself."
"Okay," Stolas said, as the nurse wheeled a crib in for Silas.
"Thank you for bringing that in, he's still sleeping," Mya said.
"It's no problem, a nurse will come check on you both. Get some rest," the nurse said, before looking at Stolas, and leaving quietly.
"Is it just me, or does that nurse keep staring at me?" Stolas asked.
"It could be because you don't belong on this side of Hell. You're a noble in the city of the lowest of the lows," Mya said.
"You know I had to be here," Stolas said, carefully handing Silas to Mya.
"I know," Mya said with a sigh, cradling Silas. "And I'm sure they've figured it out too."
"That still won't stop me from coming to see you," Stolas said.
"You are making a mistake, trying to get close to me, Stolas," Mya said.
"How? Are you afraid of me getting hurt? So you do care," Stolas said.
"It's not just you...every time I open up to someone it's either used against me or they leave me behind. That's why my coworkers don't know my real name. I don't want to lose them," Mya said, looking down at Silas as he slept. "That's probably why I ended up with you."
"Oh...oh dear," Stolas said. "I'm sorry, I didn't know," Stolas said softly. "I'm sorry M- Blade."
"I just wish I had a normal life sometimes. I used to resent everyone for it, but it's no one's fault. Not even mine...it's just the hand I was dealt," Mya said. "I just don't want him to go through that. I want him to live a normal happy life, whether we're in it or not," Stolas nodded quietly, just letting Mya finally open up to him. He was finally understanding why she ran from him.
"I'm sorry I caused all this trouble for you. I know it wasn't just me, but I want to apologize for my part in it," Stolas said.
"It's fine, Stolas," Mya said. "And I'm sorry for running from you."
"You were trying to do what was right," Stolas reassured. Mya nodded and heard someone coming into the room. She looked over and smiled a little, seeing her father.
"Hey, Dad," Mya said.
"Hey, how are you feeling, kiddo?" Mason said, walking into the room.
"Better, I feel seven pounds lighter," Mya said. "But I need to tell you something, but you need to promise that you won't get angry."
"I can't promise anything, but I will try not to get mad," Mason said, eyeing Stolas, curious as to why a Goetia was in the hospital with his daughter.
"Okay, so your grandson is a bit...different," Mya said, trying to explain the situation, without being direct, knowing how her father was.
"Different? Different how?" Mason asked.
"Well..." Mya said, before slowly showing Silas to Mason. Mason looked down at Silas and smiled softly at him.
"What are you talking about, he looks f-" Mason began, before staring at Silas, making direct eye contact with him, before slowly looking up at Stolas. Stolas looked down at Mason nervously, seeing his rage slowly building up. "You son of a bitch," he said.
"Dad, Dad!" Mya said, holding Silas close, trying to push Mason back, when he lunged at Stolas.
