Blitz opened the door, his eyes red and puffy from crying, and his face stained with tears.

"Oh shit, are you okay?" Mya asked, looking surprised.

"I don't wanna talk about it," Blitzo said, walking back inside. Mya picked up Silas's car seat and followed Blitzo inside. "Did you make this gumbo?"

"Yeah," she answered, closing the door behind her. "Did you try it?"

"Not yet, but it smells good," he said, sitting on the couch, checking his phone.

"It's good enough to get Silas's squeal of approval," she said, carefully setting her son's car seat down beside the couch, taking him out of it after. Silas scrunched up a little, stretching his arms, and rubbing his face, as he began waking up.

"Must be pretty good then," Blitzo said, sitting his phone on the table. He stood up and walked into the kitchen to make himself a bowl.

"It's a little soupier than I wanted, but having it with the rice helps," she advised, cradling Silas, as he looked up at her. She looked down at him and smiled. "Hey, kiddo, how'd you sleep?" Silas yawned softly, then cooed in response. "That's good." Blitzo walked back into the living room with a reheated bowl of rice and gumbo and sat on the couch. He began eating his food quietly, leaning back into the couch after his first bite.

"Fuck, that's good," he muttered.

"Yeah?" she asked, looking over at him, cradling Silas.

"Mhm," he hummed, eating more of what was in his bowl.

"I tried to keep onions and tomatoes out of it so Loona could try it too," she said.

"Where is she anyway?" he asked.

"Don't know," Mya said, wanting to cover for Loona. "I'm sure she'll be back though."

"She doesn't tell you anything either, huh?" Blitzo asked.

"In her eyes I'm an old lady, and I work for you. She isn't telling me shit," Mya said, earning a small chuckle from him.

"Sounds about right," Blitzo said, eating more of his bowl of gumbo.

"Blitz, I think we need to talk about something," Mya began, deciding to just come clean to him about the apartment.

"What is it?" Blitzo looked over at her. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything's fine," Mya said. "Remember when I told you that my new place wouldn't be ready until next month?"

"Yeah?" he responded, sitting up a little.

"Well, my uncle called me earlier and let me know he was able to get the place painted last week. Silas and I will be able to move in next week," Mya said.

"So...you guys would be leaving?" Blitzo asked.

"Yeah, you and Loona could finally walk around the living room without tripping over an air mattress," Mya said, trying to keep things positive. "And you'll know the address, so it's not like we'd be disappearing. You knew we wouldn't be here long, and we'll still be in the office."

"No, I'm happy for you, it's just, I didn't know you guys would be moving out of here so soon," Blitzo said.

"Yeah, I know," Mya said. "I just don't want you to think that we're leaving forever."

"I know you're not," Blitzo said, setting his empty bowl down on the table, before getting a text on his phone, making him get up quickly. "I gotta go, Loona needs me to go get her."

"Everything okay?" Mya asked, checking her own phone to see if she had missed any texts from Loona, a little relieved that she didn't.

"I hope so," Blitzo said, grabbing his keys, before rushing out of the door. Mya got up, holding Silas in one arm and picking up the empty bowl with the other. She carried both into the kitchen, putting the bowl into the sink, and cradling Silas.
