A Creature Of Disaster - Part One

(Basic explanation here: this was an idea I came up with after fostering some rabbits over the Christmas period and then realizing I got too attached to them once we had to let them go and I ended up missing them a whole lot... kinda silly I know, but I figured the general idea of it would make an interesting idea, so...)

"What about this planet?" You ask, extending a finger out and pointing to a nearby world in view from where you sat in the ship. Zim glanced over at it for a quick second to have a look before shrugging his shoulder and turning his attention back in front of him to steer the voot cruiser.

"Eh, looks a little dull." He replied in a very monotone voice.

"How does it look dull?" You questioned, examining the planet with wide eyes full of interest, your hands pressed against the window shield. "It looks so pretty and has so many moons orbiting around it!"

"Most planets have a moon or two, human. It's not uncommon out here in space." Zim explained, still not bothering to bat an eye to your peaked interest. "Besides, we've been to this side of the galaxy before. Don't you want to go explore someplace else?"

"But we haven't explored this planet before." You exclaimed bluntly, turning your head around to look at him. "Can we just go have a look? Pleeaasee?"

After hearing your attempted plea, Zim's attention was temporarily averted to you as you begged him to do as you wanted. His face studied yours for a moment, noticing how desperate you were to go to this planet as your hands were clasped in a begging gesture. His chest began to rise before he exhaled heavily and let it fall, hanging his head as his eyes scrunched in annoyance.

"Fine... we'll go have a look..." Zim mumbled, his head rising as his half-lidded eyes met yours, a big excited smile appearing on your face. "But only for a little while! I don't want to be there for too long."

While Zim hovered closer to the surface of this strange, supposedly uninhabited planet, you couldn't help but gaze upon every little sight and wonder as you observed your surroundings. Once this ship finally touched ground and the window shield flew back to open up for you both, you breathed in the non-toxic air as a surrounding sense of a cold breeze blew right past you, causing a shiver to trail along your arms. Letting your curiosity take control, you wasted no time in stepping out of the ship quietly as your legs began walking you in whatever direction you chose, unintentionally wandering out of sight and behind some bushes that covered your figure. While you were too busy to notice Zim wasn't following you, he had turned his back when the ship landed so he could get a few weapons for safety and backup. Expecting you to still be in the ship, he began talking out loud while fumbling around in the back of the ship.

"Now listen, earth flower. I don't want to be here too long as I mentioned earlier. So in order for me to keep you in check, I'm going to ask you to stay by my side at all times and-" As he turned himself around with everything he needed in his hands, his face drew blank as he noticed the sight of you had completely disappeared, no where to be seen as he scanned his eyes all over the exotic planes of this planet for you.

"-and don't... wander off..." He sighed, clearly frustrated at the fact that you had taken off before he could even talk to you about it all. "I swear that human is almost as bad as Gir..." He groaned, packing away all his equipment in his pak before heading off to go look for you.

Meanwhile, you had ventured far from where you had landed earlier, and further from Zim than what you had originally planned. This place just seemed to mesmerize you in a way that made you look around at everything and catch your attention on any little detail your eyes wandered to. By the time you realized how lost you'd actually become, you figured you may as well start retracing your steps in an effort to find your way back. That was until a strange, quiet noise caught your attention. It sounded far in the distance, but not that much farther from where you stood. As you kept an ear out for the sound, you began to follow the direction it came from, the noise growing stronger and louder as you became within close proximity to it.
