Swinging your legs off the side of the bed, you lazily pulled yourself up and made your way over to the bathroom, ready to immerse yourself in a nice, relaxing shower, allowing your muscles to ease momentarily while you let your mind wander as the water flowed down all along the surface of your skin. Your groggy eyes took some time to adjust from their hazy state while you ran the water on warm, leaving your clothes hooked over a metal rack on the wall accompanied by a freshly washed towel alongside it. Getting lost in the foggy atmosphere of the shower, you tilted your head back and massaged the back of your neck, letting out a long sigh as you released all your stress and tension from your constantly racing mind. After having achieved a sense of tranquility for a split second, you were pulled from your state when you felt the little kicks of your baby come from inside your belly. Your eyes shot open and glanced down at your stomach, placing a hand over the top of the bump as if to steady your energetic fetus.

"You don't make this easy, do you?" Your lips perched into a slight smile as you verbally connected with your baby. Regardless of your lighthearted statement, the kicking hardly ceased the entire duration of your shower, leaving you some moments when you were bent slightly forward from the irritation of the constant feeling, or had you squinting your eyes tightly in response.

Once you were satisfied with your cleanliness, you dressed yourself up in whatever you felt you looked nice in and prepared yourself for the day ahead, stepping out of the bathroom and double checking yourself over once more before making your way out of your room. Your main intention was to head towards the elevator and make your way upstairs to where you knew Zim would be, but your mind had other plans as your feet turned the opposite direction and walked towards the nursery. The door opened upon scanning your handprint and you were subjected to the sweet, lightly delicate aroma that you'd implemented in the room yourself. Your eyes gazed around the room from top to bottom, left to right, eyeing off everything in sight as your mind pondered the realism that was soon to come. You could just picture it; walking over to the crib where you'd find your beautiful little girl happily waiting for you, picking her up and holding her closely in your arms while you prepared to sit down over by the chair in the corner, cradling her while she holds a stuffed toy and listening to your soothing voice calmly reading her a fairytale story book. You hummed at the idea and your lips arched into a whole-hearted smile, gliding your hand over your stomach once again as the idea looped in your head. You were more than positive that Zim would've had similar thoughts to you in that he's imagined exactly what it might be like once your baby finally arrives. After all, these past few nights have been spent with you two happily doing just that; idealizing and engaging in conversations about that exact idea.

Allowing the door to close over fully, you turned around and set off towards the elevator and up into the house. Before you'd even reached ground level, you could already hear Gir shouting and laughing maniacally about whatever nonsense he was presented with, all while Zim tried his best to pace the robot and situate him in a more stable behaviour. Once they were in your vision, you stepped off the platform and walked out into the kitchen, eyeing off Gir's erratic behaviour as he refused to sit still on the couch. It made you giggle a little at how you'd joked to Zim in the past that Gir is like your practice child, and in doing so you suspected that's what caught Zim's attention as he turned to look at you with a curious gleam in his eyes and an intriguing, toothy smile.

"Ahh good, you're up." He stated with a pleased tone, gesturing you to come closer to him. "How do you feel after getting some rest? Better, I assume?"

"Sorta..." Your voice paused for a moment as you made your way over to him. "My back still hurts and I'm still a little queasy, but my headache has gone."

"Hmm, perhaps we should be more careful about what you consume when I take you somewhere off earth."

"I don't think it was anything like that. I think it's more like my body being annoying about this pregnancy." You commented in frustration. "And on top of that, she's been kicking me on and off ever since I woke up and it feels like it's getting worse every time. I don't know how she hasn't kicked straight through my body yet!"
