'Where... are we going again?' I asked tiredly, yawning in the middle of my sentence.

'Just be patient, human!' Zim shushed, concentrating on following the directions on the screen in front of him as he steered around in the empty vacuum of space. Going somewhere in the Voot Cruiser was always exciting, especially considering most of the time we would be flying outside of earth's atmosphere and into who knows where. But on this particular night, my eyelids were ready to drop after having been working on one of Zim's projects for the past week ever since he asked for so assistance from me. He did have Gir try and help him originally, but you can imagine how annoyed and frustrated Zim got within the first few hours of that. So, he came to me and asked for some assistance, which I was more than willing to do. However, what I wasn't prepared for was that I would be working with him for many long, hard, extensive hours, and with Zim forgetting I'm a human being that needs sleep in order to function, I'd been kept working overtime in his base, my body clock completely thrown out of whack as my system started slowing down rapidly and my brain unable to focus or perform the simplest of tasks.

Thankfully, my good deeds didn't go unnoticed as Zim eventually caught onto my behavior and how sluggish I'd become when working with him after a few days. So, trying to be the sweet Irken that he thinks he is, he'd offered to take me somewhere special, somewhere where I could fully relax for a while and let go of all my stress and every thing else that was going on. Without him telling me where we would be going, it obviously arose some suspicion in me so I politely declined, though my efforts failed as Zim sorta just carelessly placed me in the Cruiser with him and... here we are; flying around in the middle of no where, away from my home with the possibility of me dozing off right beside him as he continues driving us in the middle of the galaxy.

'Can I at least know... how far away... this place is?' I asked lazily in between short pauses, trying to keep my eyes awake as I watched him steer the ship.

'Probably a few more hours away.' He stated, glancing over at me quickly as he observed my posture, before averting his attention back in front of him. 'You can hibernate in here while you wait.'

'No, I don't need to... hibernate...' I spoke, sluggishly leaning my head on his lap as I let out another yawn, 'I just... need... to...'

And before I knew it, my eyes were shut completely as I dozed off into dreamland. My head continued to rest on Zim's lap as he looked down at me with content, giving off a soft smile as he observed my body falling limp beside him before shifting his eyes back onto his dashboard where he continued to silently follow the directions of this mysterious destination.

'Psst! Human, wake up!'

Groggily, my eyes lifted themselves up slowly as my mind started shifting back into reality, gradually focusing on my surroundings as the hearing of Zim's familiar voice sounded right in front of me. As I adjusted to my whereabouts, I took notice that Zim was looking down on me as my body was still perfectly rested in his lap, his big, ruby eyes gleaming down as his gloved hands gently caressed the top of my head. All I could do in response was let out a weak, muffled little groan as I lazily stretched my arms up, letting a wide yawn escape from my mouth before I began to raise myself up ever so slowly.

'Where are we?' I asked softly, bringing myself upright into a normal sitting position beside him. As I look out the window of the Voot Cruiser, I was completely taken back by the unexpected sight of what appeared to be a normal looking little city or village, much like one that you'd find on Earth. But, something was clearly different about this place. Observing this newfound territory, I immediately took notice of how foggy and dusty this place looks, as if it were heavily polluted in some form of gas or some other type of chemical. The hazy mist seemed to linger through the air in every direction you looked at, nothing to see beyond a dozen meters ahead of you. This unknown fog also seemed to noticeably completely block out the sky altogether, covering it over in a thick layer of muggy black clouds.
