'So you're marrying me off?' A pair of icy blue but dull eyes stare back at the arrogant man in front of her. Her supposed caregiver, parent-figure...

'Of course I am. We as the Lawrences must do what must be done to keep our wealth!'

'He will refuse.'

'Do not give me that nonsense! You are not blood-related, Mondstadt loves you, if they see how good and powerful you are to marry the only son of the powerful Ragnvindr bloodline, we will finally earn the respect we deserve! After all, the Ragnvindrs have always been favored by the city.'

'This meeting has been dismissed. I will not marry anyone to the likes of you. And even if I did marry that Ragnvindr son, I would make sure you Lawrences will not benefit anything from it. Not even my beloved niece, Eula.' Even though the man protests and threatens her, she simply walks out of the room, the sound of angry yelling and cursing dying down, the further she walks away.

'General Zuo Ran.'

'Yes, my lady!'

'Get ready to move out. We will be returning to Liyue. It appears I have wasted my time again, while I could have done more business for the Tianquan.'

'Yes, my lady!'

She lets out a deep sign as she mounts her horse, waiting for the rest of the Cavalry to be ready. However, even her sharp eyes have not noticed the red headed figure, taking a rest on top of the Lawrence villa. His red eyes follow the blonde's every move and even if he overheard the whole conversation by coincidence, he would admit that it's interesting how he's never heard of an adoptive within the Lawrence clan. But the girl isn't unfamiliar to him. In fact, he remembers her as clear as day.

'My lady, a letter from Mondstadt.'

'If it's from the Lawrence clan, burn it in the fireplace.'

'It's from the Dawn Winery.' The soldier bows as he hands over the letter with both hands and she nods, while taking it.

'You may leave.' The said man quickly leaves the chambers and once she's done writing her current report she grabs the letter, breaking its seal.

Her eyes read each word carefully and once neutral expression remains the same, yet she is actually quite surprised.

He has invited her to a masquerade. At the Dawn Winery.

Despite finding it very appealing, she wonders how the young master has come to know of her. The Lawrences have never mentioned her, nor did they allow her to go outside in company of one of them.
She has never told him her name, nor ever been near him.

Also...a masquerade? Anyone could immediately tell who the young master is, thanks to his fiery red hair. Oh well, one must do, what must be done...

'I see you received an invitation.' Bella looks up to see Ningguang standing before her desk. Was she really that deep in her thoughts?

'How was your meeting in Mondstadt?'

'Useless...' the blonde mumbles, feeling the annoyance grow as soon as she recalls the event.

'As expected. So will you be going to the masquerade?'

'I'm not sure.'

'Come on now. It's the most desired bachelor of Mondstadt we're talking about. How could you turn down such a man?'

'We have never talked. I never dared to go near him so I always avoided him. I always went unnoticed by the people. I learned to sneak out and climb the city walls to go outside. Once I turned sixteen, I decided I wanted to come here. So it's very odd to me how he knows who I am.'
