Thoma • Knowing You

As the Fixer of the Yashiro Commission, Thoma is often to be found in Ritou and Inazuma City. Many people know who he is and many merchants consider him a good friend to them. If he isn't running around to do chores, he is often to be found in the Komore Teahouse. Kamisato Ayaka likes to have a nice cup of tea once in a while and usually asks Thoma to come with her.

But today it's not just the two of them. Ayato has decided to tag along as he needs one of those rare breaks and so, the three of them are waiting for their tea to be served.

'Sir Ayato, where would you like for us to place the hotpot?' An employee has walked in with several other teahouse waiters, carrying a big pot and many different ingredients.

'In the middle of the table, please. Thank you very much.'

'Eh, hotpot? Is there a special occasion, sir Ayato?' Thoma asks a little surprised. It's not common for them to eat hotpot, only when there is something important to be celebrated or when guests come over.

'I felt like it. After all, it's been a while since I had some good hotpot.' The head of the clan shrugs, but the playful smirk doesn't go unnoticed by the young housekeeper.

'Y-you're not feeding me more strange stuff are you?!'

Both Kamisatos start laughing at the fear in Thoma's eyes and Ayato shakes his head.

'No, that would be very unmannered of me. After all, we will have another guest.'

'It's been a long time Ayato, Ayaka and...?' A nonchalant but kind voice says and Thoma turns around to see a blond woman, dressed in a purple modern top version of a classic kimono, with a pair of white breeches and matching boots. On the black strap on her left tight sits an electro vision.

'Good afternoon, it's indeed been a long time, Bella. May I introduce you to our Chief Retainer, Thoma.'

'A Mondstadter, how surprising. It's nice to meet you, I'm Bella.'

'The pleasure is mine...' Thoma is a little in awe and from behind her fan, Ayaka is grinning at her friend's starstruck expression.

'So, I see we're eating hotpot. Something to celebrate?'

'Not at all, it's just a gesture of showing how grateful we are for your presence.'

'Despite being the head of the clan, you're still a tease, aren't you Ayato...' she takes a seat next to Thoma and gives him a small smile with a nod and Ayaka notices the slight pink on his cheeks. Oh, Ayato won't be the only Kamisato Thoma will have to worry about.

'So how has your life been outside of Inazuma? You arrived only yesterday I've heard.' Ayaka asks, folding her fan and curiously leaning forward to hear about the outside world.

'Hmm, I've been to a lot of place. Captain Beidou sure knows the most beautiful spots. I'd have to say, Liyue and Fontaine really stuck with me. Snezhnaya was incredibly cold and we nearly froze to death if it weren't for some nice people trading us warm coats. I'm never going back there. Sumeru makes your feel stupid the moment you step into their academy. It's the Nation of Wisdom after all. Natlan was way too hot. We made sure to take tons of fresh water with us before going there as it's mostly desert. And last but not least, we went to Mondstadt for wine. The City of Freedom sure does its name justice. The drinking culture is quite present day and night. Apparently their local winery owner doesn't even like wine at all so that's how I bonded with him during my stay. Beidou loved it, sometimes I wonder if she isn't actually Mondstadt born.' She takes a small device from her pocket and a blue light portal emerges from it. All three have widened their eyes as Bella takes out presents, before closing it shut and turning off the device.
