Cold Strike 2

Chapter 2 - 7: More Experienced

Winter waited patiently for him to come out of the smoking cloud, believing that he was hiding in there. Suddenly, Her eyes widen open when she discovered that he wasn't there, He was right behind her. Scorch was going for a strike with his fist no longer in flames. Until he wasn't able to, Due to Winter being able to sense it coming from behind. With her light reflexes, She was able to turn around and hold up her guard, And successful block his close range attack. Although, his fist managed to push the princess back even while she was guarding.

She quickly stops herself in time before she flew back any further, As well as moving her arms to her side.

Scorch did stop there though, He dashes and started throwing punches toward the Princess, Who dodges with ease. Left and right her body moves, blocking each punches he throws at her, His punches were not coming in contact with her. He tried to perform a roundhouse kick, and that's when she grabbed his leg with both legs.

Then she threw him straight down toward the ground, Where he crashes hard. The Impact of the crash was big enough to create a crater on the ground.

Winter dives toward the crater, holding her fist out for the attack. Scorch reacted to this quickly. He picked himself up from the crater and performed a back flip that leads out of it, At the exact moment her fist landed on a crater. It only caused an explosive wave that only lasts for a few seconds. And it created an even bigger crater.

A crater that Scorch rushes toward, Only to be meet with Winter's boot against his chest. The kick send him back, But he skidded on the ground to stop going back further. He looked up and took this moment to chuckle to himself, then he began inner monologuing.

Scorch: [ Inner Monologuing: "I gotta remember that she's an experienced fighter..." ]

Winter dashes once again toward Scorch to deliver another blow to his upper body. But as soon as she got close, Scorch uses his own speed for an evasive maneuver to get around and behind her. Which he manages to do without getting hit, and this shocked her.

Scorch: [ Inner monologuing: "...But I'm More Experienced." ]

Winter tried to react, But wasn't able to evade an elbow strike to the back of her head. The Princess went flying back and Scorch would continue the hit combo.

First, He dashes and disappears from a blink of an eye, reappears behind where Winter was flying, activates his flames beneath his feet, then sweeps his feet across her back with enough force to send her flying forward. Back to the same place she once was. Second, Scorch dashes and disappears again, only to reappear with a back flip kick that came in contact with the Princess. This kick also had enough force to send for flying into the air. Not too far high. Scorch for the third time dashes upwards, disappears, and reappears behind her with a front flip kick, enough force to send her flying down straight toward the ground. However, Scorch dashes downwards as he disappears and reappears one more time. Only to swing his Flaming Foot across Winter's chest before she came close contact with the ground.

This kick had more force than the other three combined, and Winter went flying so far back she crashed through five random buildings, and eventually crashing into one more. Into one bakery shop, where some of the Citizens were taking refuge inside. The people were horrified by what they were seeing, Winter struggling to deal with the threat on her own.

For about a few seconds she was lying on the floor, and then she decided to pick herself up by doing a back flip that helped her land back on her feet quickly. She started to pant hard as she kept her eyes focused in case Scorch turns up here.

Winter: [ Inner monologuing: "His style of fighting is way different than before...And His attacks are so heavy...Not to mention how fast he's moving. When he runs or dash, He just...vanishes. Someone must've trained him, There's absolutely no way he would fight like that..." ]

The Princess inhaled, and exhaled. She turned around to face her Citizens and asked if they were okay. Most say that they were fine, some even say that they were terrified. But Winter reassures them that everything will be fine. She won't let him hurt them.

Cryterian Citizen (Male Deer): "Princess, Behind you!!"

The moment he warned her is the moment she felt an attack coming. Scorch's Burst Rocket was coming straight toward the bakery, People started to Panic, But with Winter's quick thinking, She turned quickly and held out her hands forward. She summons a Wall of Ice as a shield for herself and the people. The Burst Rocket came in contact with it, and the projectile erupted in an explosion. But it didn't shatter the Ice into pieces.

Winter had managed to protect herself, and the citizens that were inside. She makes Wall of Ice disappear, and Scorch would show up in front of the princess. His entrance was made by reappearing once again with the same technique he used against her. Confident as he is, He was eager to continue the fight. As for Winter, She was not happy about the stunt he pulled. This only infuriated her more than before.
