Alden's Flashback

Alden, Long Tail, Sapphira, and Mass have made it to the Embrian Military Base Northeast. What they see is corpses on the ground, Most of whom are Militarized Lightning Ranger. Long Tail, looking at the corpses of soldiers, asked herself, "What kind of Princess would do this to soldiers from other kingdoms?"

Sapphira simply answered, "Winter Snowflake. She's that kind of Princess. Though, I wouldn't call her a princess. She doesn't behave like one."

Alden couldn't agree more.

Mass recommends that they send a clean up crew to deal with the corpses and give them all a proper burial. That can be after they find Amber.

"And she's right there." Mass said, spotting her on his right.

For some reason, She was standing there.

Long Tail was confused as to why she was standing there like that. Mass guesses that she must be so horrified by the sight that she's frozen. Alden doesn't think that's the case, and he walks toward Amber to see what was wrong with her. Alden called on her as he approaches. She didn't turn, But heard his voice. He asked if she was okay.

Instead of answering his question, She tells him that she looked through every corpse. She couldn't find Jasper. She's not sure if she'll ever find her. Alden tried to convince her to leave the military base, and insures her that they'll find Jasper instead. That's when she suddenly notices the heroine on the ground. Her eyes were open wide and she shouted "JASPER!" before sprinting toward her.

Alden sighs and says to himself, "Well, you tried."

He turned and signals them to follow. He then turns and sprints after Amber. Long Tail, Mass, and Sapphira started sprinting after Alden.

What they see when they arrive there is Amber screaming out Jasper's name while trying to shake her corpse. It was an attempt to wake her up, since she didn't want to accept that she died by the hands of Winter Snowflake. But no matter how hard she shook, It wouldn't matter. Amber began bursting into tears. Crying as she hugged the heroine tightly. Long Tail wanted to go there and comfort her, But Alden stops her. He felt that it'd be best to leave her be. At least until it's the right time to approach her.

Minutes later, Amber is sitting on her knees next to the heroine. Tears were still pouring down her cheeks but she wasn't sobbing. This was a chance for Mass and Long Tail to approach, comfort, and grieve with her. Alden came over to support.

Amber said that she always look up to her sister. "She always had confidence and never saw reason to give up in battle." Amber stated. "But she's gone now...I don't know if I can continue on without her..."

Long Tail came by her side and wrap her arms around her. She told Amber that things will be okay, It may not seem like it now but she will heal. Amber pushed her off and yelled at her, saying that things will never be okay. Embria is torn apart and it's all because of Winter. She destroys everything she touches. If Winter had never came to Embria, There would've never been a peasant uprising.

And Jasper would still be alive.

Mass comes in to tell her that he understood her pain, But then Amber turns around and blames him, Long Tail, and the group for not letting her help Jasper against him. She could've helped her had they not stop her.

Alden jumps in and says, "What if you had come here, Hmm? You think you'd be able to take Winter on?"

"I could've tried!"
