House of Maiden - Hallway
The Princess opens the front door, steps inside, and gently closes it shut.
She turn around, only to see that the hallway looked old fashion. But compared to the hotel she stayed at, It was quite fancy. She started roaming the hallways, looking at both directions of the place. She sees lambs, tables, even a white dining room connected to the kitchen. She also sees different maid costumes mounted on the walls, Which pretty much confirms what she was saying. But at the end of the hallway, reaching to the living room, She sees one thing that peek her interest. It was a memorial of other past maids.
Next to the bottom of the picture was a photo of Serenity.
This picture of Serenity was very familiar to Winter. She could've sworn that she saw her from somewhere. She just doesn't remember where.
It soon came to an end when she heard the voice of a woman,
??????: "It's wrong to enter someone's home without knocking."
Her voice alerted Winter, As she stops and slowly turns toward where she heard her. The lights were turned on, revealing a purple bandicoot with long curly hair and silver eyes. She also wore a long sparkling green dress.
Looking at this made her eyebrows risen, as well as her eyes opening wide.
Winter: "Wow..." [ Inner Monologuing: "This must be Maiden...with the way she's dressed, She must be filthy rich... ] "...Um, Hello! My name is Winter and I was just exploring the area. Getting the feel of the place. And I'm not gonna lie, This house looks amazing! The lightning, the decorations, the--"
Maiden: "You can't fool me, Outsider."
Winter: "Huh?"
She says in confusion.
Maiden: "I know you are not from this realm. You may have fooled the villagers, But I know exactly what you are."
Winter: "...You do?"
Maiden: "I also know what you came here for."
Winter: "Really?"
Maiden: "Of course. Why else would you come here unannounced?"
Winter: "Then that means I can skip what I was saying and get straight to the point! Can you tell me where the orbital lapis is?"
Maiden: "No."
Winter thinks, "Yeah, I knew you were gonna say no. Didn't hurt to try though."
Maiden: "Not unless you complete my challenge."
Winter: "Oh, I know. Maid work, right?"
Maiden: "More than Maid Work. You'll have to do other things that are required for you to act as a maid. Such as keeping a cheerful smile and willing to serve the master."
Winter remained silent, and let's Maiden continue on.
Maiden: "But there are rules you must follow..."
"No talking back."
"No glaring."
"No having fun."
"No taking breaks, unless I say so."
"Always smile."
"And...No matter what it is, You must always do what I want."
Maiden: "And you have to wear a maid outfit."
Winter: "...S-Sure...I can do that..."
Maiden: "Good. The other maid students have left for the day, So I want you to clean their dorm. All Twenty of them."
Winter: "TWENTY?! ARE YOU KIDDING--I-I mean...of course, I will do so now."
She gently bows and heads straight to one of their dorms, when Maiden suddenly stops her.
Maiden: "Hold it! Where are you going?"
Winter: "Uhhh, to go clean their dorm?"
Maiden: "Without your maid uniform?"
Winter: "...Do I have to wear it, Maiden?"
Maiden: "Remember the rules, Winter. Always wear a maid outfit."
Winter: "You never said that in your rule!"
Maiden: "I did just now. And address me as Ms. Maiden, Not Maiden."
Winter: [Mutters] "I'll call you what I want, you dingus..."
Maiden: "What was that?"
Winter: "I said as you wish, Ms. Maiden..."
Maiden: "That's what I thought. Now, go and get dressed."
Winter: "Yes, Ms. Maiden..."
She gently bows again and gives her a sweet smile before walking away to go get dressed in a maid outfit. That's when that smile vanished and turned into a look of disgust.
Winter: [ Inner Monologuing: "Ugh...Can't believe I'm doing this...But if I want the orbital lapis, I'll have to swallow my pride and behave like a good little maid...It would've been much easier if I had it my way...." ]
She finds a wardrobe in the middle of the hallway. When she opens it, She sees a cute maid outfit that fits perfectly for her.
Winter: [Sighs] "Okay...time to be a Maid..."
The Hidden Realm - Village
Black Ice made it back to the village.
Derek made it back as well. Only a minute later. But as he returned, He started breathing heavily due to the amount of running he did. Eventually, He managed to catch his breath.
Derek the Advisor: "Please don't do that again..."
Black Ice: "No promises."
He started thinking about what they should do till Winter completes the challenge. Derek suggests that they should explore and visit a couple of shops, like the bakery.
Suddenly, Black Ice heard a voice saying, "There you are, Sapphira!"
