The group is choking in the smoke. Scorch urges for someone to do something about this before they die.
Alden quickly goes into his advisor band, swipes left a few times, and mashes the button. The band sends out an air wave, clearing the smoke in rapid pace. Once it was cleared, the group started breathing again.
Scorch: "Thanks...We would've been dead if--...ALDEN, BEHIND YOU!!"
Warning him did little, Because Alden sensed someone coming to attack him from behind. Scorch was about to save him until he witnessed Alden quickly turning around and using his arm to block a kick coming from Black Ice.
Scorch stood there shocked.
Alden instantly recognizes who he was.
Alden: "The Dark Vigilante."
Black Ice back flips and landed on the ground. But in crouch position.
Scorch: "Wait, you can defend yourself?!"
Alden: "My guess is that you've come to try and stop us."
Black Ice remained silent.
Alden: "Just for the sake of a Princess. Even though she cares very little. But, just like the citizens, you won't listen...I can guarantee you that your attempt will fail."
Black Ice: "I've heard people like you say that all the time, and it always end the same."
Alden: "In my case, it'll end in my favor."
He removes his coat and tosses it to Scorch.
Alden: "Hold this for me, It won't take long."
He leaves to go and face off against Black Ice. By simply walking toward him.
Black Ice: "I'd hate to humiliate you with my overwhelming speed. Stand down."
Alden: "Underestimating an opponent can come at a fatal cost, Vigilante. It's you that should stand down."
Black Ice scoffs and charges toward his opponent.
Alden: "Charging without strategizing."
As soon as he came in contact, He steps to the side. Black Ice made a quick turned and attempt to swing his feet across this head, But Alden managed to block that with one arm. And even grabbed his ankle.
Alden: "Not a smart move."
He held tightly to his ankle. He does a spin and tosses him in the air above the group. He managed to recover quickly in the air and dives toward Alden, aiming his foot on his chest.
It didn't work.
Alden does a back flip to evade the kick so it can instead hit the ground. When it came on impact, It created dust.
He landed safely on the ground. But when he did, the dust clears as Black Ice dashed while hold his fist back. He got close and attempted to hit his chest. This too fails. Because Alden was quick enough to block his attack, by simply using one arm.
Black Ice continued throwing more punches and Alden effortlessly blocking them. He even tried to perform a roundhouse kick on the Advisor, But he duck his head and sweeps his feet across his ankle, causing him to trip.
Alden follows this up by aiming his fist downwards to his chest. Black Ice quickly reacted and used Cold Dash to get behind him. The Advisor hits the ground instead. After he hit the ground, He instantly knew that the dark vigilante is behind him.
He turned his head toward him and grins.
Alden: "Don't lose so early, Vigilante. Winter is counting on you."
Black Ice couldn't take him head on like this. His defense is too strong. If he wants to win, he'll have to take his advice on strategy.
He thinks about what he should do until he thought about one thing: Overwhelm him with his speed till he sees an opening.
He even says in his thoughts, "If fighting you won't work, I'll have your head spinning..."
He dashes the opposite direction. Alden chases after him. They pass through a couple of trees and bushes, then passing the group.
Scorch still couldn't wrap his head around the fact that Alden can defend himself.
Scorch: "This whole time, I did not know he can hold his own. How?! I thought advisors don't fight!"
Commander Storm: "He's trained in the Arts of Combat."
He turned his head to storm with a look of confusion.
Scorch: "Arts of what?!"
Commander Storm: "Lemme explain...Before Summer came into power, He went to a school that teaches the basics of Combat fighting. His reason is because he wanted to end the stereotype that all advisors are vulnerable people who can't defend themselves, And he also wants to protect Summer, Should the day come where he has to."
Sapphira acknowledges that Alden has a similar goal when it comes to Summer. However, Her reason is different. And Scorch and Storm knows it. Even Alden knows it.
