For every lion that Sam and Porter took out, Lion sent in three more. Soon the two were completely surrounded. "Got any ideas?" Porter asked Sam.

"Unfortunately, not at the moment," Sam said.

Lion was just about to send in more lions, when several loud growls could be heard from the forest behind him. The lions surrounding Sam and Porter were suddenly pinned down by wolves that were just as big as Alpha. The lions disappeared as each wolf killed it by either clawing or biting it's throat.

"What the-," Lion said, surprised. "What's going on here?!" Behind him, another wolf walked out of trees. This wolf looked stronger than the others, a scar ran across it's closed eye and it had several other scratches and scars on it's body. The wolf growled at Lion, his sharp fangs bared.

While Lion was distracted by the wolves, Sam grabbed Porter's arm and dragged him behind her as she ran away. "We've got to find the others," Sam said.

"Fine," Porter griped as he started to pick up speed and run next to her.

Porter and Sam were nearing the center of the village when they saw their friends coming towards them. "Did you guys run into the hunters too?" Sam asked.

"Yeah," Justin said. "The fact that they based their names off of storybook characters makes them seem like a joke, but it's surprising how powerful they are."

"Well, regardless, we could really use that angel form of yours to take them out," Porter told Justin.

Justin shook his head. "I can't transform to fight them, at least not as long as Dorothy is able to fight," he said. "As long as she can still use her wind magic, I can't transform to fight. Not without getting the crap beat out of me at any rate."

"Then what are we supposed to do?" Sam asked.

Justin thought. What are we supposed to do? he asked himself. "Right now, we need to get out of here," he told them. "We can't stay out here in the open, the hunters are probably looking for us right now. We need to find somewhere safe to hide out, then we can think of a plan."

Everyone agreed, so they ran off in search of a good hiding place. It wasn't long before they came upon a building that looked like it had once been a movie theater.

"Why is a movie theater out here?" Lucas asked. "Come to think of it, why is there even a town out here in the first place?"

"Hard to say," Justin said, barricading the entrance doors with help from Sam. "Since this is a forest, it shouldn't be hard to find water, but I don't see how they got their electricity."

Sam clapped her hands together, dust floating into the air. "Regardless of why, we need to check around for any other entrances into the theater," she said. "If you find one, make sure you barricade it so that no one can get inside."

Justin and Alpha started looking around for any doors to block off. "How do you think they get power to these buildings?" Justin asked Alpha.

"Not sure," Alpha said. "Maybe we can find the answer in here. Odds are that all these buildings are powered by the same thing. So maybe that power source is still here."

Justin and Alpha walked through the theater, checking every room they came across. They hadn't found anything interesting, but finally came across a door that opened to a staircase. They couldn't see where it went, only that it descended into darkness. They looked at each other before they began to descend down the stairs.

The two walked around what seemed to be a boiler room. Justin had to walk with his hands spread out in front of him until he reached a light switch. He flipped the switch and was surprised to see that the lights turned on. He looked around at all the rolled up movie posters, popcorn buckets, and cups. He stopped when he found a large gem inside of a glass tube, wires plugged into the ends of the tube. The gem was faded yellow, but it almost looked clear.

"So that's how it works," Justin said, examining the gem. "The buildings must get their power from these magic gems. Judging from the color, I would say that this is a lightning elemental gem. Odds are that water was supplied the same way, but through a water elemental gem instead." He looked at a steel handle on the wall, when he pulled it a small section of the wall opened up like a door. Several other gems were sitting inside, each one with a faint but bright yellow glow.

Justin put some of the gems into his pockets before he and Alpha headed back upstairs. Everyone was sitting in the front row of one of the screening rooms, waiting on the two before they decided on a plan. "Alright," Justin said, sitting down in one of the seats. "How do we beat these guys? Any ideas?"

Lucas rose his hand. "Well, what we do know about Dorothy is that she is the leader and that she uses wind magic," he said. "She can use her magic to stop any of out long range attacks from hitting her, so we need to either counter with more wind magic, or stick to close combat fighting."

Kylan shook his head. "Close combat won't work," he said. "She can use the wind to keep you away from her, or to keep you from moving while she stabs you with her daggers."

"So we need to be able to use wind magic then," Porter said. "How are we supposed to do that, exactly?"

Sam looked at Justin. "Isn't your light magic able to branch into other types of magic?" Sam asked.

"Yeah," Justin said. "Why?"

"You can use wind magic to counter Dorothy's," she said.

Justin stood up and shook his head with protest. "No way," he said. "I can't do that. I don't even know if that'll actually work or not."

"Anyone have a better plan?" Sam asked the others. Everyone shook their heads. Sam turned and gave Justin a mischievous smile. "Looks like you don't have a choice in the matter."

Justin sighed. "That was a low blow," he told Sam.

"No, it's democracy," Sam said.

"Fine," Justin said, giving up on trying to argue. He learned a while ago that when Sam wanted something, she could be pretty stubborn about it. "Just remember, if I'm the one doing this, then I can't be the one to attack Dorothy. It'll take a lot of my focus to maintain the ability to use another magic style, so I can't be the one to attack."

"Then we'll do all the attacking," Kylan said. "You just have to keep the others busy."

"Great, then it's settled," Porter said. "We will wait here for everyone to get their energy back, then we go out face these hunters with everything we've got."
