"Come out, come out wherever you are," Dorothy shouted, looking around like a predator searches for its prey. "You can't hide forever."
"You're right," Justin said, standing on the roof of the theater. "Which is exactly why I'm not going to hide."
Dorothy looked up at Justin. "Well, I don't know whether I should commend your bravery, or laugh at your stupidity," she said. "Though I suppose it doesn't matter, your life ends here."
Dorothy rose her hand in the air and a burst of wind flew towards Justin. This had better work, Justin thought. He put both hands in front of him and shut his eyes tightly, waiting to be blown off the roof by the powerful wind. When the wind hit, he was surprised to find that the wind wasn't as strong as it was when she had hit him with it before. He opened his eyes to see that the wind was being split around him where his hands were, leaving only a small breeze hitting him.
"What the hell?!" Dorothy exclaimed. "Why haven't you been ripped apart by my wind yet?"
Justin smiled. "Cool," he said. "Way to go Sam! Didn't expect that to work."
Dorothy blasted wind at Justin a few more times, each time he countered it and weakened the wind before it hit him. Soon she was gritting her teeth with frustration. "Counter this!" she shouted as the wind around her began to swirl until it created a tornado.
Justin showed little care. "Please, you think that something like that can stop me?" he asked confidently. "Behold as I create a tornado of my own!" Justin shoved both his arms out in front of him, but nothing happened. "I said, behold as I create a tornado of my own!" he repeated, but again, nothing happened. He looked at the nearing tornado. "Crap."
Dorothy laughed as she saw that her target was now doomed. "Nothing but a cheap trick," she said. "No one has been able to stop one of my tornadoes. It's time to accept your death."
"No thanks," Justin said. "I've still got plenty of tricks up my sleeve." He got into a racing position. "For instance, watch as I make this tornado disappear."
Justin took off running at incredible speed, using speed magic to move so fast that he looked like a streak. He began circling the tornado in the opposite direction that it was spinning. The tornado slowly shrank down until it vanished, completely stopped. Justin stopped running at the other end of the block, trying to catch his breath.
"See," Justin said between breaths. "I've got plenty of tricks to choose from."
Dorothy was just about to say something when she was interrupted by someone else. "Surprise!" Sam shouted as she punched Dorothy in the face. "Bet you didn't see that coming!" Sam grabbed Dorothy by the hair and swung her around, letting go and sending her flying.
Dorothy spun in the air, recovering from Sam's attack, then she used the wind to hold herself up in the air like she was flying. "That was a sneaky move," Dorothy said, her face red with anger. She pulled out what looked like a flare and threw it high into the air. The flare then exploded like a firecracker, a dark red glow emitting over the entire town.
Sam looked around, expecting the flare to have caused some kind of destructive effect. She was about to drop her guard when she heard footsteps approaching her quickly. She turned and saw Scarecrow with his scythe raised, about to bring it down on her. She rose her arms in front of her face to try and block, though she knew it was useless.
Sam heard the sound of metal against metal, she opened her eyes and saw that Kylan had jumped in front of her and blocked Scarecrow's scythe with his swords. Scarecrow jumped back and pointed his scythe at Kylan in case he tried to attack him.
