"How is this possible?!" Kylan shouted in disbelief as he dodged a flying boulder. "We're fighting a statue... and LOSING!"

Justin jumped back. "I think we can see that, Kylan," he said. "Thanks for the reassuring words."

The statue was keeping everyone at a distance by throwing boulders at them. The boulders were coming from an opening in the wall behind the statue, where he would pick them up and use them as ammunition. Alpha was busy trying to get close enough to the statue to land a blow on it, but every time he came close the statue would attempt to step on him, forcing him back to a distance. Sam and Porter were punching through as many of the boulders that came at them as they could, Sam using earth magic and Porter covering his fists in his reptilian skin, any boulders that they didn't destroy were what the others had to dodge. Lucas was trying to land a hit on the statue using different types of elemental magic, his gloves surging with power as he kept typing in codes and throwing all kinds elements. Floating above everyone, Mikados was sitting cross legged in the air, watching the battle.

"Any ideas, leader?" Porter asked, sarcasm in his voice. "We can't do this all day! We're running low on magic power!"

Justin glared at Porter. "I'm thinking okay," he said. "If we could only get close to him, we might be able to land a real hit on him." Justin looked over at Sam. "I've got an idea! Sam!" he shouted.

Sam shouted to him over her shoulder. "What is it?!" she asked.

"Can you use any more earth magic?" Justin asked.

Sam jumped back from smashing boulders and ran over by Justin. "Yeah," she said. "Why?"

Justin leaned in and whispered his plan into Sam's ear. When he finished, she nodded in agreement and the two of them moved back.

Lucas saw them retreating from the corner of his eye. "Where are you going?!" he asked. "We need your help here!"

While Lucas was yelling at Justin and Sam, he didn't notice the statue swinging it's giant arm at him. "Look out!" Alpha said. Lucas shielded his face as Alpha shoved him out of the way, then jumped down just as the statue's fist came down where they were just standing.

"Thanks," Lucas said, standing up.

"No problem," Alpha said as he ran off to see about getting closer to the statue.

Justin looked at Sam. "Ready?" he asked.

Sam nodded. "Yeah," she said.

"Then let's do it," Justin said.

Sam put her fists together and raised them into the air, her fists glowing with a faint, pale brown glow. When she hit the ground, a chunk of the floor came up. Justin ran straight into the chunk of ground and began pushing it forward, using it as a shield to block the boulders that came towards him.

Justin was nearing in on the statue, when he began to slow down. "Crap!" he said. "I'm not gonna make it!"

Suddenly, the shield got lighter. Justin looked next to him and saw Sam helping him push. "Don't worry," she said. "I've got your back."

Justin smiled as the two of them got closer to the statue, quickly rolling to the sides as the statue's foot came down on their shield. Sam quickly got back up, spun around and punched the statue's foot. Justin ran around the statue to try and stop the supply of boulders the statue was getting. When the statue realized Justin was going for its ammunition, it tried to turn around and stomp Justin to the ground, but it was unable to move. It's foot had been frozen to the floor from where Sam had punched it.

Justin jumped into the air and kicked the wall, sending a crack up above the hole and bringing a pile of rubble into it, blocking the boulders from coming in. When the hole was sealed, the statue opened its mouth and let out a horrible noise, one that sounded similar to nails on a chalkboard. Justin and the others covered their ears and grimaced in pain. When the noise stopped, the statue pulled a giant hammer from its back and used it to break the ice covering its foot.
