October 31st,1963

"y/n wake up its nearly 12 pm" my mom spoke from the hallway outside my door, "ugh" I groaned as I sat up in my bed, wiping my hair out of my face. I slipped on my fluffy socks and walked down stairs. "look who's finally awake" my dad said while sipping his coffee and reading the newspaper. "don't get coffee on your shirt otherwise I won't be able to get it out" my mom said to my dad. I walked in to the bathroom and picked up my tooth brush, I turned on the cold tap and held my brush under it for a few seconds, then I applied my toothpaste. I lifted my toothbrush and start brushing, I had to baby sit for my mom's friend from work tonight, on Halloween. Halloween can you believe it! I should be out partying like all my friends. I finished brushing my teeth and hopped in the shower.

I walked back upstairs into my bedroom and got some clothes from my drawer. After I put on my clothes I played some music and layed on my bed. "gosh you look so lonely" I hear a boy say from the door way. "fuck off asher" i say to my older brother. I hate being the middle child I always get picked on,but I love my little sister Ally. Shes only 5 years old but she always comforts me. I look at my nightstand and see that it's 4:43 pm already, "shit" I say to myself quietly. I grabbed my handbag from the back off my bedroom door and ran down stairs, the steps creaking each step. "right well im off, cya" I say opening the front door. "wait wait, did you take your pills?" my mom says this everyday, "yes I did, can I go now?" I say. She nods her head so I rush out the door. I pick up my bike and start cycling to the house I'm babysitting at. Soon enough I arrive at the house. I knock on the door and a woman with short blonde hair comes out, "hello you must be y/n, come in!" she siad with a sweet tone in her voice. I entered the house to see a boy who's about 9 years old. I crouch down to his height to tlak to him. "hey there kiddo, I'm y/n what's your name" I say, "Daniel but you can Call me danny" he said with a soft tone. "well hi Danny, ready to have fun tonight" I say as he nods to my words. "OK have fun you two, uh by the way he's gluten free so just be careful,love you Danny" the mom said as she left. Danny hopped on the couch and start playing with his legos, I sat at the kitchen counter looking out the window. It was a nice neighbourhood, there was a girl who was gardening, she had brown hair in a half up half down style. She looked familiar, she then looked over at the window and noticed me, she probably thinks I'm a creep. She waved at me and I waved back, then It finally hit me that it was my crush from school, Ruby lane. Shes so hot, she then signed for me to come out of the house. "Danny ill be right back I jsut need to check something" I say to the child sitting on the couch still playing with his toys. He nodded as I left, I walked out the door and heard a girl. "hey! Y/n right?" she said, I walked towards her, "yeah, Ruby right?" I say as I can feel my cheeks getting red. "I haven't seen you in a while, happy Halloween" she said while stepping to the side to show all her Halloween decorations in the garden. "wow that's why you've been out here?" I chuckle. "don't laugh, I love Halloween" she said nudging my arm. "me too, my favourite holiday but I have to babysit so no Halloween for me" I say, "you should come over sometime" she offered, "yeah, yeah sure uh call me here" I say as I get a peice of paper and a pen from my pocket and write down my number and give it to her. "thanks well I gotta go but I'll see you later?" Ruby says while putting the peice of paper in her jacket pocket. "yeah definitely" I say and walk off.
