It was a few weeks since I had first come to the tower and summer was coming to an end. I hadn't really thought about school at all because i had been really bust. My days were packed with: training with Wanda and Nat; telling information about HYDRA to Nick Fury and the team; working as Tony's assistant in the lab and just generally hanging out with everyone. I loved it here.
"Y/n? Y/n?" I heard a voice say, "Earth to y/n?" It was Peter. I must've been daydreaming. "I want to talk to you about next week"
"Okay"
"Please can you come back to school with me because I think you need to go to school somewhere and if you're worried about your safety you have me to protect you and Ned and MJ still don't know you're alive so you'll get to see them and-"
"Pete, slow down, I'll go, I'm just gonna go see what Tony thinks. I guarantee he'll be all over protective and everything."
"Oh, ok, I thought you'd need more convincing"
"I'll go ask him now, I think he's in his lab, tell you what he says later." I left the room and headed to the lab. Truth be told, I was already regretting my decision. What if Ned and MJ hate me now? What if people ask where I've been? What would I say? I couldn't tell the truth!
My thoughts were interrupted by the elevator doors opening into the lab. The smell of grease and metal, filled my nose as I strolled inside. This was my favourite place in the whole tower, just when you think that you've explored every part of it, another secret reveals itself. I found Tony working at one of the benches, bending over his suit like he always does.
"Hey kiddo, what can I do for you?" Tony chirped, looking up from his iron man helmet.
"I was wondering if I could ask you something?"
"I'm all ears"
"Should I go to school?" Tony dropped his spanner at my question, causing a loud crash to bounce of the walls of the lab.
"Oh, sorry, ummm, I dont really like the idea of one of the most powerful Avengers walking around by herself but I don't exactly control you..."
"I guess, but you give great advice and Wanda told me that you were the one who convinced everyone to let me stay here." I said. I guess I've spent so much time with Tony over the past 6 weeks that I've gotten really close to him. He's like my mentor now.
"Kid; do you want to go?"
"I'm not sure, I do, and I dont, that's also why I asked you."
"Well I guess I haven't got much to do so you can tell me why, what's on your mind?"
"Ok, so... first of all, I haven't seen my best friends since... you know... and I really want to see them again but I'm scared. What if they don't like me anymore?" I said, letting my worries flow out of my mouth.
"They wouldn't be your best friends if they thought that way"
"Ok, but what if people ask where I was for 3 years? I can't say I was homeschooled because I had search parties looking for me when I disappeared. It just won't make sense."
"We'll come up with a cover story. The team can help, it'll be fine"
"Oh, well I guess you're right. I think I wanna ho to school. Plus, if you are scared about my safety, not that you need to, I litrally could blow up this whole tower with a flick of my wrist, Peter has offered to 'protect me' so, yeah" I say, happy with my decision.
"So it's settled. You are going to school!"

I love the bond between Tony and y/n, I would so love to be her because it's so sweet.
