Chapter 17

I was sitting in detention after another long, boring day. Suprisingly, no one asked me what happened in the gym, I think maybe even the rumours warned everyone to stay away from me. The teacher brought in a screen and pressed play on a video. I couldnt contain my laughter as cap stepped on screen in his spangly outfit.

"So, you got a detention?" He looked stern, as if we had committed a crime. I took out my phone and videoed the whole thing. The avengers were gonna love this so much.
Mj hadn't received a detention but she insisted in keeping me company. Apparently, she, and I quote, 'likes drawing people in a crisis' or something like that . I doodled some designs in my book as I had no homework.

"Alright kids, you can go." The teacher said after the longest hour of my life.

I decided to walk home instead of bothering Happy as he was still mad at me. It's not exactly my fault, flash was being an asshole and he deserved it! And his stuck-up parents should realise how much of a prick their son is and stop spoiling him with all their money and-

My thoughts were cut short by a guy in a red and blue suit landing infront of me.

"Hey y/n!" Ok, maybe his voice was a little bit high-pitched for someone who litrally saves people as his hobby. But Liz had no right to say it out loud and technically to his face.

"Hi pete... sorry, spiderman"

"One second" he said, swinging down an alley. About 2 minutes later, he stumbled out in his clothes from earlier. "So, how was detention?"

"Good, yeah, I have a really funny video of Cap to show everyone" I chuckled excited to see what the team's reactions would be.

"The one that he does for gym class?"

"Wait, there's one for gym class? My one is from detention!"

"There's one for detention? Must be new, last time I was in detention the teacher fell asleep straight away so we just messed around. Can I see?"

"You'll have to wait!" He gave me puppy dog eyes but I stood my ground. "That's not gonna work, just be patient!"

We got to the living room to see the Avengers all sat together, talking. "Yo guys, I have a really funny video of Cap, you're all gonna love-" I stopped in my tracks as I spotted a new face, sitting in the corner of the room.

He had shoulder-length brown hair that cover some of his face and his metal arm gleaned in the light, a red star painted on it. "Y'all know there's a stranger in the living room right?"

"Y/n, this is Bucky, my best friend from my time as a kid." Steve smiled.

"There's another one of you? Please don't tell me he hasn't watched FRIENDS either!" Bucky looked confused and shook his head, "you people are so uncultured!" I laughed

"Guess he's joining us for our next binge session on Friday" Peter added.

"What were you saying about a funny video of Cap? We all definitely want to see this now!" Sam asked, intrigued. Everyone nodded their heads so I played the video on the screen.

Everyone burst out laughing, except Steve who sat there with red cheeks and wide eyes.

"Look at his outfit! No wonder the kids can't take him seriously!"

"Why so serious cap?"

"I go to school to escape you lot but it's like I cant even get away!" I joked

"There's even ones for our gym class, and for healthy eating. Anything, you name it!" Peter chuckled.

"We have to see all of these! I'm going to hack into the school files to get them!" Tony stood up.

"Tony, don't you dare!" Cap warned

"Too late!" Tony pulled out his hologram laptop thingy and started typing away. Cap stormed out, embarrassed.

"I'll go." Nat said as she went after him. I sat down next Metal arm guy and smiled at him.

"Is it always like this?" He asked quietly.

"It varies from moment to moment. I'm y/n Laufeyson by the way"

"James Buchanan Barnes, but my friends call me Bucky" he smiled back. His smile didnt seem full. Whatever he had been through, couldnt have been good.
