The whole team was sitting in the meeting room discussing what my cover story was going to be.
"I think, whatever we choose, you should try to stay away from that subject of conversation anyway. So you'll only have to say what happened if completely necessary." Nat suggested
"Agreed" I said, "so, any ideas?"
"You were abducted by aliens" clint said
"Like anyone's going to believe that!" Sam scoffed
"I'll add it to the board anyway" I said, writing it on the board behind me.
"You got adopted by a pack of wolves!" Said Sam
"Like that's any more believable than mine" clint rolled his eyes.
We carried on throwing ideas around until Peter finally made a suggestion.
"No-one knows what happened to your parents. They just assumed they left you at the orphanage and ran off. What if you say that you wanted to find them but the orphanage wouldn't let you. So you ran away?"
"I love it!" I chirped
"It's perfect, it fills in all the gaps." Tony stated
So it was settled, I would go to school the next day. Peter had told Ned and MJ to get there early because he had a 'surprise' so they could so me before. I was so nervous but it was all going to be ok.
